Hello again Hivers of this community, I’m here again with a new recipe to share and the foods that we ate with my family.
Today was already sunny at our place, it’s another day to thank for. Our breakfast was just simple; I saw this pancake that was given to me by my brother. Just add some water or milk on it, for me I added some milk and when the consistency was already watery you can now cook it in a low fire setting, add a little portion of oil for cooking the pancake. My son really loves pancake. You can see how happy he was when I finish cooking the pancakes, although it was burnt a little. My mistake because when I was cooking there’s a sudden customer at our store and I forgot to put off the stove.
I bought some “Igado”, that’s how we call it here on our local. A pork dish that has potatoes, carrots, that was cooked with a liver spread, it has also some red peppers on it. For only 2 dollars you can have this delicious dish of pork. It can be served for two persons. When I have no time cooking for lunch, I would buy this just on our nearby neighborhood. This dish is a perfect combination for rice.
Yesterday, my son was craving for something sweet so I asked him what he want and he said to me he wanted some donuts. Our market was a little bit far at our house so I thought maybe I could just made some, so I research at the internet on how to make a donut without oven, and I found one. The recipe was just simple, you will be needing 2 cups of evaporated milk, 2 cups flour, 1 table spoon sugar, ½ tsp. salt, cheese for filling and powdered milk and sugar for coating the donuts.
First step is to pour the evaporated milk to the pan, together with the salt and sugar. Cooking it in a low medium fire, then when the mixture started to boil add the 2 cups of flour then set the fire into it’s lowest then keep on stirring.
When the dough mixture becomes thick, set aside and let it cool down for a bit before kneading it.
I make sure the surface was clean, of course it’s a must also I wash my hands before kneading the dough. I also poured some flour on the surface.
I made a total of 9 donut balls for this recipe, if you would like to have more just add the proportions of the recipe indicated.
Flatten the balls then put the cheese for the fillings. Cook the donut balls on a deep pan fry. Until the donut balls becomes golden brown.
Then I just mix the white sugar and powdered milk for the coating of the donut balls.
I was really happy that I made it perfectly. Even without an oven I made my own version of milky and cheesy donut balls. It really melts in your mouth, and my son really loves it too. I also share some to our neighborhood and they said I could sell it because it was delicious. I’m so much grateful whenever someone appreciates what I cook.
