So yes, this is the (not too long) introductory post for the new Invisible Horizons Community.
I wanted to create a space that felt somehow “new” on Hive, and with so many communities already out there, starting a new one always struck me as a real challenge. Still, it had been on my mind for a while. I’ve been on this blockchain for a few years now, and this feels like a way to show I care — and that I’m also drawn to the idea of opening new creative spaces.

So the idea began to take shape in my mind:
A place for all those who travel with their imagination.
Let me share a little anecdote.
When I was in high school, there was someone on the school’s leadership team who used to call me “the Swede.” It was her way of saying I was always spaced out, lost in my own world. She’d see me in the hallways, sitting alone, book in hand. She always found a way to catch me out of class, off wandering instead of in the classroom… “What a character,” she’d say, laughing as she sent me back to class. And me? Well, I was just going to the bathroom and ended up loitering nearby, drifting in my thoughts, dreaming that I was, say, in the Roman Amphitheatre… when in reality I was standing in front of the amphitheatre at the Federico Engels Vocational School. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a camera back then — but a quick Google search will show you. ;)
Ok, to keep the story short 😁... this Community is exactly about that: creating imaginary journeys through real places (and I emphasize this) that we tend to visit. That’s why in the Community guidelines I specify using your own photos.
Yes, I know — I created the Community cover using AI when I could’ve taken a photo myself… and you’re right, I will. The thing is, my intuition told me today was the day to present the Community, and I still haven’t captured the photo I truly want for this place that will now also be my home. 😉
Even if you’re standing on the corner of your street, you can imagine yourself strolling through a city in France or whatever and craft your own story. Play, have fun, invent characters and situations. Give objects new uses beyond what they’re meant for. Make up names… let yourself overflow.
You can even invent an entirely new place that exists only in your imagination — and map it out through words, reflections, letters, poetry, music, adventures, photos, whatever you like. There are no limits to creativity.
As for me, I’ll try to occasionally bring initiatives that might spark new ideas to get you started. Though I know that here on Hive, imagination and creativity are boundless… so I raise a toast to you, and to this new space for dreaming.

I am all about the Now... Doing it in the Now or I don't do it.. So yes today is the day and the real life photograph can catch up when you take it...
Do you know pareidolia? It' a psychological phenomenon where the brain perceives a familiar pattern, image, or sound in random or ambiguous stimuli. It's the reason why we see faces in clouds etc. I am forever doing it in the woods with trees.
It is also a form of apophenia, which is the tendency to perceive meaningful connections between unrelated things. Our brains are hardwired to find patterns, and sometimes they find them even when they're not intentionally there.

What an interesting community you have created, @nanixxx. I congratulate you. I think it will be a place where those of us who create or dream for a living can be at ease. In my childhood, I remember my grandmother telling me (metaphorically speaking) to stop looking up (the stars and clouds) and put my feet on the ground. hahaha. Hello, a big applause for your great initiative to create the “Invisible Horizons” community. Congratulations for daring to launch it.
Who hasn't had those moments of disconnection, wandering in the imagination while the body is elsewhere. To be able to transform the everyday into a canvas for fantasy. That is a precious way to understand the spirit of community.
How right you are when you say that creativity has no limits. This idea of taking pictures of real places and building imaginary stories around them seems brilliant to me. It's an exercise that challenges the mind and leads you to explore new horizons without having to move from the place. It seems to me a very original way to give photography and writing a twist.

Nowadays I spend very little time online.
Yesterday I opened Ecency, and somehow this post appeared, and this is how I saw this introductory post of this new community.
And I thought that I write my current thoughts about this topic, and this is how I wrote the comment above.
Nowadays I spend most of my time offline, trying to build personal connections and partnerships, if possible.
And living in human-worthy living circumstances is rather a goal for me than a dream.
And I certainly not see it as "Invisible Horizons".
Even if it maybe sometimes apparently looked like that way in the past.
And I actually do what I can to achieve it, and other people are also trying to help me.
Good morning, this Community is about imaginary journeys, which means there are no specific destinations to reach—in fact, we’re already there, in our minds and hearts. That’s why the horizons are invisible: we reveal them to one another as we go. It’s a creative way of viewing life, of placing ourselves wherever we long to be, as if we were the protagonists of our own fictional story. Each person holds their own beliefs, goals, and purposes in life, and I truly respect that. But let me tell you a little about myself: I firmly believe that what we plant in our minds with the right emotion will manifest, in one way or another, at just the right time. 😉 May life smile kindly upon you. We all go through difficult moments in our own ways, and they cannot be compared—each journey is deeply personal. Don’t lose sight of that place you wish to inhabit. Feel it, live it, as though it were already true.
Congratulations on launching your new journey, that itself deserves it's own post on where you think you're going.
