A few days ago, my beautiful mother celebrated her birthday, and what a privilege it is to have her at 70. I only ask God to watch over her every day, to watch over her steps, her thoughts, and, above all, her beautiful heart. I feel truly fortunate and blessed to have her; she is truly a blessing.

Hace unos días, mi hermosa madre celebró su cumpleaños, y qué gran privilegio tenerla a sus 70 años. Solo le pido a Dios que la cuide cada día, que vigile sus pasos, sus pensamientos y, sobre todo, su hermoso corazón. Me siento realmente muy afortunada y bendecida de tenerla; sin duda, es una gran bendición.

Every year I try to surprise her in some way, and this time I decided to serenade her, not with mariachis, but with myself, singing and dedicating beautiful songs to her. She was undoubtedly so moved that she burst into tears of joy, especially because she had her grandchildren and most of her children with her.

Cada año intento sorprenderla de alguna manera, y en este caso decidí llevarle serenatas, pero no con mariachis, sino conmigo misma, cantándole y dedicándole canciones muy hermosas. Sin duda, se emocionó tanto que rompió a llorar de alegría, y más aún, porque tenía a sus nietos y a la mayoría de sus hijos con ella.

We made her day special; each of us contributed something very meaningful to her, and seeing her happy definitely gives me a lot of peace. I love my mother more than anything in this world, and I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ watches over her and that her angels always be with her.

Hicimos que su día fuera especial; cada uno de nosotros aportó algo muy significativo para ella, y verla feliz sin duda me da mucha paz. Amo a mi madre más que a nada en este mundo y rezo para que nuestro Señor Jesucristo la cuide y que sus ángeles siempre la acompañen.
