Feliz fin de semana, con la llegada de las vacaciones escolares llega un dilema a los hogares. Mientras los hijos buscan cómo llenar los días libres, los padres nos enfrentamos al reto de encontrar actividades que los mantengan ocupados, más allá de la pantalla del teléfono, y mas cuando no nos toca agarrar vacaciones, normalmente le doy a mi hija actividades hogareñas para que pase el tiempo ocupada. Sin embargo, a veces, la solución no la encontramos nosotros, sino ellos.

Happy weekend, with the arrival of the school vacations comes a dilemma to households. While children look for ways to fill the days off, parents face the challenge of finding activities to keep them busy, beyond the phone screen, and even more so when we don't get to take a vacation, I usually give my daughter home activities to keep her busy. Sometimes, however, the solution is not found by us, but by them.

En mi casa, mi hija de 14 años tiene un grupo de amigos que se ha convertido en la clave. La amistad que han cultivado desde el preescolar va más allá de compartir en el colegio. hoy en dia sabemos que se conectan para jugar en línea, pero me he dado cuenta que también planean paseos y encuentros que terminan uniendo a las familias. In my house, my 14-year-old daughter has a group of friends that has become key. The friendship they have cultivated since preschool goes beyond sharing at school. Today we know that they connect to play online games, but I've noticed that they also plan outings and get-togethers that end up bringing families together. In a world where virtual connections are the norm, they have managed to maintain tangible friendships, those that are built in person.

Esto me ha hecho reflexionar sobre la amistad como un legado. Misma que ellos, con su inocencia y energía, han creado sin darse cuenta. Como madre, he sido testigo del crecimiento de cada uno, de esos lazos que han formado desde la infancia. Y gracias a eso, nosotros, los adultos, también hemos tenido la oportunidad de formar nuestras propias amistades.

This has made me reflect on friendship as a legacy. The same that they, with their innocence and energy, have created without realizing it. As a mother, I have witnessed the growth of each one of them, of those bonds they have formed since childhood. And thanks to that, we adults have also had the opportunity to form our own friendships.

Lo que comenzó como una reunión de padres en los festivales escolares, se ha transformado en un grupo de amigos que comparten risas, consejos y la alegría de ver a sus hijos crecer a traves de los años.

What started as a gathering of parents at school festivals has grown into a group of friends who share laughter, advice and the joy of watching their children grow through the years.

Hoy puedo decir que la amistad de mi hija se convierte en el puente que conecta a diferente familias, creando un legado de apoyo y cariño que trasciende la edad. Es un recordatorio de que las relaciones más hermosas a veces no las elegimos nosotros, sino nuestros hijos, y que con el tiempo, se convierten en un tesoro que compartimos.

Today I can say that my daughter's friendship becomes the bridge that connects different families, creating a legacy of support and affection that transcends age. It is a reminder that the most beautiful relationships are sometimes chosen not by us, but by our children, and that over time, they become a treasure we share.

Por segundo año consecutivo, ellos planearon un paseo al parque la llovizna, donde cada uno llevaba algo para compartir, un grupo que ha crecido,y que unio el colegio donde ellos comparte su dia a dia, hoy pudimos reunirnos para disfrutar y conversar en la naturaleza. En ese lugar mágico, donde la conexión se hace palpable: escuchar el susurro de la cascada del río caroni, el canto de los pájaros lo verde de todo el lugar y, sobre todo, las risas de mi hija junto con sus amigos. Verlos tan felices, en sintonía, es una de las mayores alegrías.

For the second year in a row, they planned a trip to la llovizna park, where everyone brought something to share, a group that has grown, and that united the school where they share their day to day, today we were able to meet to enjoy and talk in nature. In that magical place, where the connection is palpable: listening to the whisper of the waterfall of the Caroni River, the singing of the birds, the greenery of the whole place and, above all, the laughter of my daughter and her friends. Seeing them so happy, in tune, is one of the greatest joys.

Como padres, hemos sido testigos de su crecimiento, de los lazos que han formado desde la infancia. Y gracias a eso, nosotros, los adultos, también hemos tenido la oportunidad de formar nuestras propias amistades.

As parents, we have witnessed their growth, the bonds they have formed since childhood. And because of that, we adults have also had the opportunity to form our own friendships.
