Hello my dear Hivers! Another day, another story…
Do you have a friend whom you can share your happy and sad thoughts with? Important as well as embarrassing moments in life? A friend whom you can share your secrets without being judged and be comfortable with it? A friend who can understand you even the world can't... A friend who see the real you even when others can't...
Well… Today is the time that I will share to you my story about one of my dearest friends. A friend whom I treasure and love… A friend who understands me and care for me even in my lowest phase in life. A friend who stand a test of time!
20 years ago, this friend of mine and I met when my parents decided to moved out from the city where we live and transfer to a small hometown of my mother. I was in 6th grade that time. Her name was Cheryl Ann, what a lovely name same as her soul.
Cheryl Ann and I lived in the same barangay here in Donsol, Sorsogon. We were on the same age even our birth month were the same. What a destiny right? I think that’s why we clicked right away with each other. Everyday, we go to school together and play with each other during weekends. We also make projects together although we were not in the same class section. That’s the bond we have when we were on sixth grade. Our lives were simple back then. No complex problems like now that we are adults already. Oh! I missed those times!
Now that we are adults already, and have a family of our own. Still we are best friends! We worked on a same High School where she is a teacher while I belong to a non-teaching department. During snack time, we eat together and have a lil chitchat about our daily lives. Sometimes, after work or during weekends, we go to restaurants or coffee shops to spend time together. Catching up with the things that happened with us lately. Bonding with her makes me happy!
Yesterday, she went into our house and told me that we should visit a coffee shop here near us which is the Kapetera ( a small coffee shop owned by one of our neighbors). By the way, her house where just meters away from our house so that’s why she can go and visit me in our house anytime that she wants.
So we went there and ordered our favorite drinks and rice meals. We ordered chicken with white sauce, spamsilog (spam with fried rice and egg), fries, coffee jelly and chocolate hazelnut latte. While waiting for our order to arrive, we talked about our daily lives and some small problems. Sometimes problems became lighter to bear if you have a friend or couple of true friends who can lend their ears for you.
The food that we ordered finally arrived. We continue our chitchatting while enjoying the delicious food served to us by the owner. For dessert, we ordered home-made cookies too! We are so fond of talking to each other that we forgot that it's almost near midnight already. We end that day by walking home together happily...
