Hello, I wish you all an excellent and, above all, very productive start to the week. I hope you are full of energy, motivation, and good ideas to get everything started. The truth is that I enjoyed this weekend and made the most of it, both personally and with my family. It was one of those weekends that leaves you with a feeling of satisfaction. We were able to take a few trips to clear our minds, breathe fresh air, and change our routine a bit. Sometimes, getting out for even a little while helps a lot to clear your head and recharge your batteries. In addition, at home we managed to take care of some pending tasks that had been piling up and were finally resolved. That also gave me a lot of peace of mind, because there's nothing like crossing tasks off your list and feeling that your home is more in order. I'll tell you that I've been wanting to do some crafts for several weekends, but due to lack of time and some materials, I hadn't been able to. Something always came up that prevented me from getting started: commitments, errands, or simply fatigue. But this Sunday, I decided it was time to give myself that creative space that I love so much. So I got up early, full of energy and enthusiasm, and went with my husband to a store called Casa Tik Tok. It's a well-known store around here because if you can't find something there, you can't find it anywhere. Although, to be honest, I only had to buy a few colors of paint that I needed to complete my project. We took 31 de Julio Avenue and headed towards Casa Tik Tok, located on Sta Isabel Street, in La Asunción, Nueva Esparta State, Margarita Island. The journey was smooth, and the weather was perfect for going out.
Hola, les deseo un inicio de semana excelente y sobre todo muy productivo. Espero que estén llenos de energía, motivación y buenas ideas para arrancar con todo. La verdad es que este fin de semana lo disfruté y aproveché al máximo, tanto en lo personal como en lo familiar. Fue uno de esos fines de semana que te dejan con una sensación de satisfacción. Pudimos hacer algunos recorridos para distraer la mente, respirar aire fresco y cambiar un poco la rutina. A veces, salir aunque sea un rato ayuda muchísimo a despejarse y recargar energías. Además, en casa logramos cumplir con algunos pendientes que ya estaban acumulándose y que por fin quedaron solucionados. Eso también me dio mucha paz mental, porque no hay nada como tachar tareas de la lista y sentir que el hogar está más en orden. Les cuento que llevo varios fines de semana queriendo hacer algunas manualidades, pero por falta de tiempo y de algunos materiales no lo había logrado. Siempre pasaba algo que me impedía comenzar: compromisos, diligencias, o simplemente el cansancio. Pero este domingo decidí que ya era hora de darme ese espacio creativo que tanto me gusta. Así que me levanté temprano, con mucha energía y entusiasmo, y salí con mi esposo a una tienda llamada Casa Tik Tok. Es una tienda muy conocida por aquí, porque lo que no encuentres ahí, no lo encuentras en ninguna parte. Aunque siendo sincera, solo tenía que comprar algunos colores de pinturas que me faltaban para completar mi proyecto. Tomamos la avenida 31 de Julio y nos dirigimos hacia Casa Tik Tok, ubicada en la calle Sta Isabel, en la asunción, Estado Nueva Esparta, Isla Margarita. El trayecto fue tranquilo, y el clima estaba perfecto para salir.
When I arrived, I was thrilled to see the variety of products. I bought the paints I needed, and even some colors that weren't urgent, but since they were such a good price, I couldn't resist. I love having options when I'm creating, so I thought it would be a good investment for future projects.
Al llegar, me emocioné al ver la variedad de productos. Compré las pinturas que necesitaba, e incluso algunos colores que no eran urgentes, pero como estaban a muy buen precio, no pude resistirme. Me encanta tener opciones cuando estoy creando, así que pensé que sería una buena inversión para futuros proyectos.
We returned home very quickly with our shopping, and just as we arrived, we found some good news: the water truck had arrived and we were finally filling our tank. The water had arrived just a few days earlier, but we couldn't enjoy the precious liquid because the tank was being repaired.
Regresamos muy pronto a casa con la compra, y justo al llegar, nos encontramos con una buena noticia: ya había llegado el camión de agua y estábamos al fin llenando nuestro tanque. Hace solo unos días había llegado el agua, pero no pudimos disfrutar del preciado líquido porque el tanque estaba en reparación.
It had some leaks, and a water tank that was supposed to last a month and a half barely lasted us ten days. So we decided to invest in repairing it properly. The process took two weeks, because each product applied required drying time. The tank was primed and painted with non-toxic products, with everyone's health in mind. My husband played a key role in all of this, because he was the one who helped the mason sand it down, and then he painted it together with our son. It was a team effort, and seeing them collaborate filled me with pride. Today, at last, we are filling the tank, and that was one of the most important pending tasks we had at home. It is the one that has made us happiest, because having water at home is a great relief for everyone.
Tenía algunas filtraciones, y una gandola de agua que debía durar un mes y medio apenas nos duraba diez días. Así que decidimos hacer una inversión para repararlo correctamente. El proceso llevó dos semanas, porque cada producto aplicado requería un tiempo de secado. El tanque fue frisado y pintado con productos atóxicos, pensando en la salud de todos. Mi esposo jugó un papel fundamental en todo esto, porque él fue quien ayudó al albañil a frisarlo, y después lo pintó junto con nuestro hijo. Fue un trabajo en equipo, y verlos colaborar me llenó de orgullo. Hoy, al fin, estamos llenando el tanque, y ese era uno de los pendientes más importantes que teníamos en casa. Es el que más feliz nos ha hecho, porque tener agua en casa es un gran alivio para todos.
The truth is that the two days of waiting and rationed water were not easy, but nothing that couldn't be overcome by being together at home. Our family here in Venezuela is very small, but we never stop supporting each other, and that made these days of hardship flow more calmly and hopefully.

La verdad es que los dos días de espera y agua racionada no fueron fáciles, pero nada que no se pudiera superar estando todos juntos en casa. Nuestra familia aquí en Venezuela es muy corta, pero no dejamos de apoyarnos, y eso hizo que estos días de carencia fluyeran con más calma y esperanza. Así, queridos amigos, transcurrió nuestro domingo: contentos por haber cumplido algunas metas, por haber compartido en familia, y por haber dado espacio a la creatividad. ¡Estamos muy felices de haber resuelto por fin lo del tanque! Fue una situación algo estresante, aunque la llevé con paciencia y buena actitud.
La verdad es que estos días me he tomado un merecido descanso y me he dedicado a hacer cosas que realmente disfruto.
