I’ve seen people complain about having medical practitioners as siblings and partners and not having peace. While the world celebrates these heroes out there we are left to deal with them and their profession at home.

Ever since my sister got her license my family and I have not had peace. In pidgin “we dey collect everyday”.

Ladies and gentlemen, in my house currently, I can’t complain about my health freely anymore. I can’t just say how I feel without getting a proper lecture or a long list of tests and medications recommended by my sister.

source Guys it’s been funny living with my sister. One look at my eyes and she’s spewing different medical jargon.

Did she wake up and see me staring at my phone without sleeping? Best believe she’d narrate all the health implications and if she’s unable to do it that night, I’ll hear from her in the morning.

With all these jargons I’ve been hearing from her, it’s safe to say I can literally prescribe drugs for you and you won’t die, trust me.

My dad is not left out of the equation. She has made him run several tests, which is good but we are tired. One day my dad sacarstically said he had used his own money to train what he didn't understand, he suffers the most from all this as he is old and she isn’t cutting him any slack. “Daddy, you must live healthy”, that’s all we keep hearing.

My innocent father, how he moved from being a proud father, to his daughter’s full-time patient is wild.

We didn’t experience all these while she was in college because she barely came back home, but now that she’s home, there’s no peace.

The interesting part of all of this is how she pronounces all these medical terms like it’s her mother tongue. When she’s speaking, she immediately becomes a different person, you’d be wondering why all the seriousness for a simple headache.

I hate to research about my illness, as it messes with my head, but right now I have a search engine that gives me all the results without me even asking, Arrrgh!!

Right now we are all my sister's patients. We don’t know when this will stop or if it ever will. We need help guys! Send help!

We are so proud of her; don’t get me wrong but not being able to express how you feel without getting a full-blown lecture is what we can’t stand anymore.

Please is there a way to curb this? Is there a way to prevent her from being all prescriptive whenever we complain about our health? I’d love to read some of your opinions, as right now my siblings and I are ready to try anything.
