OCR Text of hand written post follows below (it may contain transcription errors)

This is my first port in the hand written community,

I started this community became it is an easy thing to do. After all, we all have paper. Pens are abundant.

Consideration and intentionality, particularly in this you, are not things that are abundant. By sitting down at a desk with my paper, and my pen, I am facuied on only ore thing. That is the thing that I want to say When I waits on paper, my thoughts slow to the speed that my hand allows.

As a result, my statements are structured, and I am. considering the importune and import of every single word. Punctuation means something. It is a read pause:

is not human. Writing something dy hand is not very efficient That is ok. You're never going to be running at a hundred percent. Thatis not human.

I am a human, and I must process my thoughts as such.

What will I write here? What will I think of here?

Of the fact that I' an nothing but a human. Of the fact that my writing is mine, and in the hopes that by reading other's hand writing we might just all grow closer together.

We passed notes in school, as children, didn't we? Now we may do it again.

Wow! My first handwritten post I saw here in general! That is a good idea!

Let me join the community to don't forget about it and maybe I integrate in a few days...

Cool! Made me laugh!

Hive a great day!

Hopefully we see more people be more human when they're writing in their own hand :)

Hah, I love it. I hand write a majority of my posts with a fountain pen, then type them up afterwords. If you look through my Hive blog, you will find several posts where I share the handwritten first draft. I handwrite my posts for a lot of the reason you write above. Writing longhand slows us down, makes us more careful about our words, forces us to think.

I'll have to share to your new community in the future.

Note: It could be a good idea to encourage people to also type up their posts and include that under the photo of the handwritten text. As you know, there are several DVing "police" on here who are all too trigger happy when they find posts without at least 300 or so words. In my case, I also write in cursive, which I kind of think many people these days can't read. at least on Mac that is very easy to do. I take a photo of my handwritten pages and it can convert most of even my cursive to text. This saves me tons of time when typing up what I hand wrote, let me tell you.

Oh, that's awesome, I know OCR is a technology that has been around forever, so good to see it still in play. I might have to use it for the same purposes as you mention.

If DV wasn't programmatic setg and forget for so many people, I think HIVE could be a better place.

It would also be a better place if they constantly used the hand written community ;)

Amazing idea! 😮 I'll see if I find something to handwrite about. I could share some of my workflows and to do list for my content. I always do that with pen and paper

Its so simple, but so ... not done on the Internet, right? Its just fake post it notes and lies. And SEO. And all that trash :D

Huh I like this idea. Especially to encourage the kids.

Your shitty handwriting, although shitty, is 5x less shitty than my own which apparently hasn't changed since I was a child (I've checked my childhood writing, it really is the same).

Next up, fountain pen elitism. Must be as gratifying as a watch collector in terms of feelings of superiority

I don't own a fountain pen or an inkwell. I like to write with these:

Made in Japan, Has a lid, has that feature where the lid has a hole in it, so if you swallow the lid, you don't block your airway. Jokes on them, I'll swallow the whole pen sideways. >_>

mobbs's avatar @mobbs 6/7/2025

Oh I know these ones. Some of my favourites in the stationery shops! I used to have a somewhat autistic love of pens as a kid heh. Never swallowed a single lid, oddly

I too have never swallowed a pen lid. I have a talent for staying alive.

Ah, all those handwritten notes, burnt and tossed through washing machines and put into memento boxes and slipped into books ...
