Phew. What a week. By week, I mean the seven day period that proceeded me picking up this pen to write this thing on this piece of paper.
As with a lot of things, it started with a Monday. It was the public holiday. We had friends around. I cooked enough food to kill a horse. Salmon, angel hair pasta, and peas in a creamy, garlic filled cheese sauce. Tasty.
I shared two bottles of wine with friends and plenty of laughs.
Then along came Tuesday. I had a job interview to go to. I wasn't sure about it. On the way, on the train, my thoughts were such that I didn't really want it. But I got there anyway. I needed to pee beforehand, and ALL the public toilets in a four block radius were closed for renovations, each having signs pointing to the other. Mega frustration.
Anyway, I did the job interview. It went really well. I felt a connection with the interview panel AND got called a unicorn. It was great. Way better than I expected. I walked back to the train station, keen to get home and to go to the gym and pick up a delivery.
I sat on the train. My phone rang. It was the HR lady. "Have you left the city yet?" I hadn't. "There's someone in another team at the office who would love to speak to you."
I got off the train and walked back. I spoke to the person. It seemed to go well. I'm waiting this week to hear back.
Meanwhile, that night, I got home, and my package (it was Final Fantasy Magic the Gathering cards) - and I opened a great deal of them with a friend who was visiting for a few nights.
The following day, I went to the Regency Park gold course to shoot some images. I've already published those. I also hit the gym that morning.
Thursday: edit the photos. Thursday: go to the gym. Friday: Little bit more work on the photos, go to the gym. Feeling strong. Friday's gym session was with a person I met at a metal tshirt shop and chatted with on instagram.
My arms were ruined. Then, I came home, showered and cleanup and went to Friday Night Magic to draft the Final Fantasy Magic the Gathering set. It went well.
Saturday, I got up and got ready to go into the Gawler CBD, because I needed to do a shift at the gallery. I got taught the ins and outs, and got to see my work on the wall.
Me and my art
There's some great images in the gallery at the moment.
Then I came home and achieved very little.
Sunday, perhaps even less.
At some point among all this, another job I applied for sent an email asking for a reference check. I hope I get that job. I'm not close to running out money at the moment, but I would like to see number go up and instead of down.
Now, as I finish this page, at 16:07, I look forward to the gym tomorrow morning, and having a week that I wait to hear back regarding potential future employment.

Fingers crossed on your interview :)
Thank you, I am keen to achieve as little as possible this week. I hope my greatest achievement will be either a) reading an email, b) answering the phone, or c) signing a contract.
Otherwise, I'll be waiting til next week to do another batch of applications. I'm so tired :D
Hopefully, the job is in the bag; it's very hopeful if they had you come back for a chat, and the email is another positive sign. Good luck, man.
I've been interviewing and looking for something new for the last while, and nothing has really come of it. Recently, though, I've had a bit of a change of heart and decided to stay where I am until October or November.
It is good to have that freedom. I am just finding myself getting restless without something defined to do during the days, I'm not very good at ... doing nothing, or relaxing. I must always feel like I'm being productive or I feel like I've wasted the day. :D
I think by typing it out as well, i'm being forced to cheat lol. It's genuinely hard work these days reading handwritten notes even though I'd say your handwriting is pretty damn good.
What are you making, a tub of scalding hot soup?? I don't think pasta and peas can kill horses unless you can throw really hard.
wtf
Let me put it this way, I cooked food, we had eight guests. I had left overs for 7 days. There's still some in the freezer, probably another 3-4 days worth in the freezer.
There was also mac and cheese.
"Yes". I spent a lot of money while I still employed to pre order. No regrets.
Job interviews are always nerve-wracking, at least because you understand how important they are and how much they can influence a person’s future. In any case, I hope your interview went well and that you get the job. And I hope you’ll share the good news with us! And I am always curious about what kind of questions people get on the job interviews :)
Good luck!

Well, this particular interview was Business And Continuous Improvement Analyst. The first question was "Do you have experience in business improvement?"
My response was "In the interests of efficiency, yes."
Apparently that was one of the team's catchphrases. It went well from there.
Your work sounds like a super busy one but at the same time super interesting as well. I hope you will get it!

Okay I concede... THAT is a great photo of you.
I thought this was in reference to the shitty selfie I included of myself in my comment chain with matt in the other thread, I laughed until I got back to the computer and saw it was with reference to this one! :D
