Birthdays and buffets? That’s a match made in foodie heaven—and exactly how we celebrated my sister’s big day!
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the vibe was set: cozy lighting, tempting aromas, and tables groaning with every dish you can imagine. My sister’s eyes practically sparkled as she grabbed her plate, ready to conquer one food station at a time. And honestly, I was right behind her.
We kicked things off with a little bit of everything—sushi, spring rolls, dim sum, and salad (you know, to pretend we’re balancing things out). Then came the real action: juicy steaks, crispy lechon, buttery shrimp, Korean BBQ, pasta, and more. It was the kind of meal where your plate becomes a beautiful chaos of cravings, and you don’t even care.
But the real star of the show? Dessert. My sister made a beeline for the sweets like it was her job. Cakes, pastries, halo-halo, a chocolate fountain—she was living her best life. We surprised her with a candle stuck in her favorite slice of cake, and sang her the cheesiest, most off-key "Happy Birthday" ever. She laughed so hard she nearly dropped her spoon.
What made the day unforgettable wasn’t just the endless food (although that definitely helped). It was the joy of seeing my sister so happy—surrounded by food, family, and love. We joked, we overate, we took way too many photos, and we left with full bellies and even fuller hearts.
As we rolled out of the restaurant, slightly food-drunk and totally satisfied, I couldn’t help but smile. Birthdays come and go, but moments like these—shared laughter, clinking plates, and a very happy birthday girl—are the ones you keep forever.
Here’s to more birthdays, more buffets, and more bites of happiness. Happy birthday, sis—you totally ate your way into another amazing year!
