Every morning, I stood by the roadside, waiting patiently for a keke or bus to take me to work. Sometimes it rained. Sometimes the sun beat down hard. But every day, I stood, with hope in my eyes.

I worked as a sales assistant in a busy store in Umuahia town Abia State capital. My salary wasn’t much, but I managed it well—saving a little, sending money home, and praying for better days.

One evening, after a long shift, I passed a car showroom. I stopped. Through the glass, I saw a small, beautiful red car—simple, not flashy—but it called to my heart. I smiled and whispered to myself, “One day, I will drive you.”

From that moment, my hope became a quiet fire. I started putting away a small amount every month. Some months were hard. Emergencies came. But i never gave up.

I wrote the words “My Car Is Coming” on my mirror, so that I would see it every day.

Years passed. I didn’t win a lottery. I didn’t get a big promotion. But my consistency paid off.

One bright Saturday, with my head high and heart full, I walked into that same car showroom—not to look, but to buy. My dream red car was gone, but a newer, even better one was waiting.

As I sat behind the wheel for the first time, I smiled and whispered, “You came. Just as I believed you would.”

Dreams take time, but hope, faith, and steady effort can drive them home 🏡
