Hello, ladies! I can't remember the last time I've participated on LoH's weekly contest. Probably it was way back during the pandemic. I was lucky to come across one post yesterday which prompted me to visit the community.
Out of the two questions for this week's contest, the first question piqued my interest the most.

I'm a shirt and jeans gal who believed black is the safest color. Meanwhile, I didn't intend to accumulate white shirts but it just happened due to an occurence some years ago. I also have a couple of clothes in the shade of green, but I don't think I'd wear most of it now in the future so I'll stick with these black and white shirts.
)
Oh, welcome to my tiny closet! I know, you're going to ask, "Hey, that ain't all black and white!" Yup! At first glance it may look few—that's because I stack my shirts together on the hanger to fit them all together in my little closet. I also organize them in a color-coded manner to easily find the specific black or white shirt I want to wear.
You may have also noticed that my shirts mostly have prints on it. That's because I fancy graphic shirts in the past. Now that I'm older, I realized that I should've invested on plain or clothes with simple prints.

I began liking black shirts way back my teenage years. I have to blame the emo era for that! Haha! However, black isn't just an influence of the trend for me. I liked it so much back then, especially when I entered college, because I used to be a bit chubby and black shirts helped to conceal my bloated belly. Lol. That's the main reason. Next, it easily complement any footwear and pants.
And years later, despite discarding the old black shirts, the black shirt fever in my wardrobe grew once again as I began to love bands and attend concerts.

Welcome to my ONE OK ROCK band shirts! One of it was a prize from winning a fan art contest. I like most of this band's official shirts as they produce cool and fun designs. Maybe the universe hinders me to have enough money, because if I do, my wardrobe would be filled with their shirts for sure!
)
I also got one of the band's parka merch. I thought this jacket would get jailed in my cabinet, however, it became very useful and kept me warm during my most difficult time.
After the darkness, of course, comes light.
)
I'm not a big fan of white shirts. Because they tend to discolor after a while. Does anyone have tips to whiten discolored and stained white shirts? I'm all ears!
The only reason I hoarded white shirts was to have something to wear for my mother's wake. Sad reason, right? Everytime I stare at these shirts, it reminds me of myself watching over my mother at the chapel for more than two weeks.

I bought this white tee with long sleeves back in 2021, supposedly, as an inner clothing or just so I could wear something in case I need to go to a funeral. I didn't know it was my mother's funeral that I would be wearing this blouse.
)
I also have this old checkered blouse which I wear sometimes when we go to the cemetery to prevent my arms from getting sunburned because I observed I still get sunburned despite applying sunscreen. I just wear it on top of my shirt so I can remove it when I'm on a shaded area.
)
These shirts hold significant events in my life. And just like the contrasting colors of black and white, these shirts are imprinted with feelings that are extremely contradicting. One encouraged me to enjoy life, the other buried me to sadness.

I only have anime shirt, tatry ko nga din yong with graphic design of my fav band, i'll start with SKZ. Wahhh, but you clothes looks really awesome. I'm not a fan of white, madumihin kasi hahaha. Unang araw ko palang na susuotin yan, mamamantsahan na agad ng kung ano anong sabaw yarn. Lol. But white is really cool din, if only di ako clumsy. Aigoooo
