Greetings SplinterLovers 💛

This time, I'm bringing you a different kind of post. As an investor in this ecosystem, I'm always curious about the profits that can be made in the different game modes in Splinterlands, and one of those modes that I hadn't paid any attention to is precisely "Land Plots." So I've gathered some information and done some interesting calculations to show you how much profit can be made by working as a "Producer" in the vast world of "Praetoria."

I've been working on this post for several days, but I've finally finished it. I'll try to be as accurate as possible with the information I'm sharing with you. I've also learned some things about the "Lands" that I didn't know before, so I'm new to this. so I ask you to be patient with me in case I make a mistake. If this happens, I would love to see your corrections in the comments. In addition to this, if you are new, I'm sure this information will come in handy, because after doing these calculations, I'm leaning towards venturing into the lands.

So, as I said, in this post I will break down the costs, production, and "approximate" profitability in different scenarios and with a different portfolio. These packages I've prepared come in three rarities: Common, Rare, and Epic. I'm not including Legendary and Mythic because I'm sure most players are outside that level, as I am, so with this, you'll be able to see the entry costs and everything you need to get started. Without further ado, let's get to it:

Before going directly to the "Profitability Analysis," we first need to know all the elements necessary to activate our "Land Plot." It is not enough to buy a PLOT and transfer it to the game; we need more things, and that is why in this section I will detail exactly what you need to start working:

https://steemitimages.com/80x80/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cieliss/23wWrUapHh8g6vKAD1UMPAqT4Jeyx6sXckUFSzB6SiDSZh7sjeR282bPRJAiVuuaJQ6n3.png" alt="Image from post"> - Land PLOT: This is the fundamental asset for starting our work in "Praetoria." Without a plot of land, we couldn't do anything. You can buy the PLOT in "Hive-Engine" and type it into the "Praetoria" map, or you can buy land that is already typed in and skip the process. The difference is that the first option is random.

The cost of the Power Core is 5,000 DEC, which is a one-time payment. On the other hand, if you have a Runi, also called a RuniCore, you can place it on your land and it will perform the same function, only with other benefits, but the first option is the best.

There are five of them, and they will be responsible for producing all the resources on the land you typed. Each one has "Production Points." PP, and these points can vary depending on the rarity of the card and its edition. The older it is, the more production points it has. The type of card also influences this, so these are things to take into account.

https://steemitimages.com/80x80/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cieliss/23vsUqDFrEmnX9cpqLVDFDxxGVdvspwsju3dyVZBKdoYcm6r8cw5bW2Ms8meWofRJcHKA.png" alt="Image from post"> - Resources: The land produces various resources that we will need to build on it, the most important of all being "Grain," but we also have "Wood, Stone, and Iron," which are marketable, something very important for our profitability.

Note: It is important to note that production involves expenses. For example, your workers (5 cards) must consume "Grain" in order to work, and at harvest time, a 10% tax is applied to production, so keep this in mind. In the next section, we will look at the details of production, data, and profitability analysis.

Now, in this section, I will apply all the calculations to determine the (approximate) profitability of land plots in three rarities: Common, Rare, and Epic. There are plots of land with "Legendary" and "Mythical" rarity, but they would be a very large investment, so I will discard them for now. Instead, I will focus on the three previous ones, which are more accessible. Continuing with the data we need, we have the following:

**Production Rates per PP per Hour**

🌿 - Grain: 0.02 🪵 - Wood: 0.005 🪨 - Stone: 0.002 🔘 - Iron: 0.0005

Production bonuses for land rarity: Essential for calculating profitability, especially when calculating the profitability of rare and epic plots.

Image from post

⚪️ - Común: 0%
🔵 - Rara: 10% 🟣 - Épica: 40%

Resource exchange price: Here we will see the DEC per unit. Keep in mind that these are approximate values and very volatile, so if after reading this post they are not the same, you just have to replace them:

Image from post

🌿 - Grain: ~0.0133 DEC (1 DEC = 75 Grain) 🪵 - Wood: ~0.0319 DEC (1 DEC = 31.3 Wood) 🪨 - Stone: ~0.00133 DEC (Valor derivado de la proporción del PP) 🔘 - Iron: ~0.3892 DEC (1 DEC = 2.5 Iron)

**Base production and daily costs**

All calculations will use 5 workers or cards. For these calculations, I have chosen common rarity cards at their maximum level from the "Untamed" edition. I chose this one because it is one of the oldest, and these cards have a good amount of production points, specifically 4200 PP each, making a total of 21,000 PP per plot. With this clear, we have the following:

**Calculations and profitability analysis**
  • Daily base PP production (21,000 PP/hr * 24h): 504,000 PP

**Daily production in resources (per plot):**

🌿 - Grain: 504,000 PP * 0.02 = 10,080 units 🪵 - Wood: 504,000 PP * 0.005 = 2,520 units 🪨 - Stone: 504,000 PP * 0.002 = 1,008 units 🔘 - Iron: 504,000 PP * 0.0005 = 252 units

**Daily base value (per plot):**
  • (10,080 x 0.0133) + (2,520 x 0.0319) + (1,008 x 0.00133) + (252 x 0.3892) = 295.43 DEC

Daily rental cost of workers (5 cards): To rent the 5 cards x 9.5 DEC/day = 47.5 DEC (The rental is for a minimum of 15 days, representing an initial expense of 712.5 DEC per plot and every 5 cards).

**Investment Analysis on a Single Plot of Land**
**1.) Common Land**

  • Total Investment: $15 USD (land) + 5,000 DEC (Power Core 4.48 USD) = $19.48 USD
  • Daily Net Profit: 295.43 DEC - 47.5 DEC = 247.93 DEC
  • Net Monthly Profit: 247.93 DEC x 30 = 7,437.9 DEC (aprox. $6.65 USD)
  • Recovery Time: 7,437.9 DEC Per month / 247.93 DEC per day = 30 days (1 mes)
**2.) Rare Earth**

  • Total Investment: $30 USD (land) + 5,000 DEC (Power Core 4.48 USD) = $34.48 USD
  • Daily Net Profit: (295.43 DEC x 1.10) - 47.5 DEC = 277.47 DEC
  • Net Monthly Profit: 277.47 DEC x 30 = 8,324.1 DEC (aprox. $7.45 USD)
  • Tiempo de Recuperación: 8,324.1 DEC Per month / 277.47 DEC al día = 30 días (1 mes)
**3.) Tierra Épica**

  • Inversión Total: $80 USD (tierra) + 5,000 DEC (Power Core 4.48 USD) = $84.48 USD
  • Daily Net Profit: (295.43 DEC x 1.40) - 47.5 DEC = 366.10 DEC
  • Net Monthly Profit: 366.10 DEC x 30 = 10,983 DEC (aprox. $9.83 USD)
  • Tiempo de Recuperación: 10,983 DEC Per month / 366.10 DEC per day = 30 days (1 month)

**Analysis of a Complete Portfolio**
**1.) Pack of 3 Common Lands**
  • Total Investment: $58.43 USD (aprox. 65,280 DEC)
  • Daily Net Profit: (247.93 DEC x 3) = 743.79 DEC
  • Net Monthly Profit: 743.79 DEC x 30 = 22,313.7 DEC (aprox $20.00 USD)
  • Recovery Time: 65,280 DEC / 743.79 DEC per day = 88 days (aprox 3 months)
**2.) Pack of 3 Rare Earths**
  • Total Investment: $103.43 USD (aprox. 115,560 DEC)
  • Daily Net Profit: (277.47 DEC x 3) = 832.41 DEC
  • Net Monthly Profit: 832.41 DEC * 30 = 24,972.3 DEC (aprox $22.34 USD)
  • Recovery Time: 115,560 DEC / 832.41 DEC al day = 139 days (aprox 5 months)
**3.) 1 Epic Land Pack**
  • Total Investment: $84.48 USD (aprox. 94,385 DEC)
  • Daily Net Profit: 366.10 DEC

With these calculations, I can deduce that the "profitability" of the plots of land is quite good. Of course, all these numbers are basic, and I may be wrong about some of them, since I am not taking into account, for example, the "totems" that multiply production by a percentage that I have no idea about, as I was unable to find it.

It also depends on the cards you place, but I have used accessible and basic cards as an example. However, these numbers can clearly change quickly with other types of cards that we place as workers, so I hope this has been helpful. In a future post, I will bring these calculations, but with my own assets. This post is more informative and educational, so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask and leave your comments.
