Splinterlands sigue innovando y sacando cosas nuevas; lo que es genial porque nos dice todo lo que están haciendo para hacer que el juego mejore y sea aun mas divertido para todos, ademas, el objetivo principal es captar la atención de muchos más jugadores allá fuera, por lo que, implementar nuevos modos de juego son necesarios para asegurar que la jugabilidad y el dinamismo dentro del ecosistema sigan vivos, y mas cuando se trata de juego de cartas coleccionables tipo de TCG donde puedes ganar recompensas reales por jugar y divertirte, aunque Splinterlands tiene un sinfín de aspectos y/o cosas que se pueden realizar, el jugar es uno de esos aspectos que más nos interesan.
Es por eso que, en esta oportunidad, hablare en detalle de como funciona el nuevo “Formato” de juego gratuito llamado “Frontier”, porque este este tan importante para el ecosistema y la adopción masiva del juego como tal, más muchos otros detalles que veras en el transcurso de esta publicación, así que lee hasta el final porque si, ahora podrás jugar sin invertir ni un solo centavo.
¿Qué es el Formato Frontier” y porque es importante? + ¿Como empezar a jugar Frontier?
El nuevo “Formato Frontier”, es un modo de juego creado única y exclusivamente para ofrecer una puerta de entrada al ecosistema de “Splinterlands” sin ningún tipo de inversión financiera, esto quiere decir que, este modo es completamente gratuito y libre para todo el que quiera jugar, algo que nunca había sucedido en el juego, ya que, para conocimiento de todos, antes para iniciar a generar recompensas reales en el juego, debes pagar un “Libro de hechizos” con una valor de $10, por supuesto, esto sigue siendo así si es que quieres jugar en el resto formatos y modos, pero, si eres nuevo, quieres aprender a explotar el juego, definitivamente no hay mejor forma que esta.
Ahora bien ¿Porque este modo de juego es importante?
Es muy sencillo, el problema de Splinterlands, es que no había logrado crear un modo que permitiera una entrada fácil y sencilla para jugadores, la entrada comúnmente para los que no saben de “Web3”es un poco engorrosa, necesitas ciertos activos para poder ganar recompensas y al principio suele ser abrumador por la cantidad de aspectos y/o cosas de las que tienes que estar pendiente para poder iniciar, en cambio, con el modo de juego de “Frontier”, Splinterlands esta cambiando ese paradigma de que se necesita inversión obligatoria para generar recompensas, ahora puedes ganar cartas, venderlas y comprarlas desde el inicio, lo que es genial, ademas ese modo de juego fue lanzado a finales del mes pasado de julio, por lo que, ya puedes jugarlo sin problemas.
¿Cómo empezar a jugar Frontier?
El proceso para iniciar es muy fácil de realizar y básicamente esto es lo único que tienes hacer para comenzar, seria como un paso a paso, pero ya verán que es lo que deben hacer a continuación:
Completa el “Modo Campaña” y gana cartas “Foundations”: Este debe ser tu primer paso en el juego, ingresar en el modo campaña, para hacerlo, solo haz clic Aquí y entradas directamente, una vez entres lo que tienes que hacer es completar cada capitulo mientras vas aprendiendo, ademas, en el proceso, podrás ganar cartas de la edición “Foundations” que son las que podrás usar en “Frontier” luego.
Gana GLINTS: En el proceso también ganaras el token intransferible llamado GLINT, con el cual podrás comprar en la tienda mas cartas o cofres para completar tus mazos futuros una vez comprendas y aprendas el juego para pasar a los siguientes niveles y formatos.
Comienza a jugar: Una vez que tengas tus cartas de “Foundations”, ya podrás dirigirte a “Ranked” y elegir “Frontier” para iniciar tu viaje, si no consigues la opción, con tan solo hacer clic Aquí , podrás entrar directamente al formato e iniciar.
Aspectos claves y recompensas y progresión en el formato “Frontier”
Este modo de juego es único, por lo que, directamente no tiene nada que ver con los formatos y/o modos de juego mas comunes en “Splinterlands”, como el “Moderno y Salvaje”, por lo que, hay ciertas reglas que hacen de “Frontier” muy especial, así que presten mucha atención por estas nuevas mecánicas:
El mazo espejo: Como en este modo de juego solo se pueden usar las cartas de la edición de “Foundations”, cada oponente al que te enfrentes jugara con el mismo mazo, lo que significa que no hay ningún tipo de ventaja en la batalla, esto quiere decir que únicamente podrás ganar gracias a tus estrategias y combinaciones, lo que lo hace genial.
Sistema de clasificación y energía: Este es un sistema separado del resto de modos de juego y formatos, pero funciona muy parecido a ellos, también su sistema de clasificación es aparte, ademas, como en el resto, puedes jugar hasta 50 batallas diarias.
No tiene coste: Como ya comenté, este es un sistema que no requiere ningún tipo de inversión, es gratuito completamente, así que solo necesitas el tiempo para jugar en este nuevo modo, y espero que lo hagas porque luce genial.
Recompensas y progresión:
Las recompensas diarias: Este un nuevo modo el que puedes generar recompensas y solo necesitas ganar 5 batallas al día para completar la misión, lo mejor es que puedes completar hasta 3 veces dicha misión, así que asegúrense de completarlo, porque ganaras cartas y podrás subir de nivel tu mazo de “Foundations”.
Cartas y paquetes: Las recompensas que se obtienen por completar las misiones y los cofres de la temporada son cartas comercializables, por lo que, por lo que podrías usarlas en otros formatos, comprarlas y/o venderlas.
Cofres y rangos: Esto funciona prácticamente igual al resto de los formatos, ya que mientras vayas subiendo de rango, los cofres de recompensa que ganaras serán mucho mejores, recordando que sus rarezas o los tipos de cofres son (Minor, Major y Ultimate).
Frontier Raffles: Esta es una nueva iniciativa que me parece increíble, ya que mientras mas activos sean en el formato de “Frontier” tienes la posibilidad de ganar entradas para rifas en donde se repartirán cientos de cartas a la semana gracias a un fondo de premios, por lo que, debes aprovechar esta oportunidad y competir en este nuevo modo.
Consideraciones finales
Espero que esta publicación sobre el nuevo modo de juego “Frontier” haya quedado muy claro, este es un paso muy importante para la llegada de nuevos jugadores, lo que hace muy sencillo que miles de jugadores se unan a nuestras filas, lo que particularmente se traduciría en un aumento de la demanda de muchos de los activos existentes en “Splinterlands” y esto es increíblemente positivo para toda la economía en general y es justo lo que necesitamos.

The new "Frontier Format" is a game mode created solely and exclusively to offer a gateway to the "Splinterlands" ecosystem without any financial investment. This means that this mode is completely free and open to anyone who wants to play, something that has never happened before in the game. As everyone knows, in order to start earning real rewards in the game, you must pay for a "Spellbook" worth $10. Of course, this is still the case if you want to play in the other formats and modes, However, if you are new and want to learn how to exploit the game, there is definitely no better way than this.
Now, why is this game mode important?
It's very simple, the problem with Splinterlands is that it hadn't managed to create a mode that allowed easy and simple entry for players. Entry is usually a bit cumbersome for those who don't know about "Web3." You need certain assets to earn rewards, and at first it can be overwhelming because of the number of aspects and/or things you have to keep track of in order to get started. However, with the "Frontier" game mode, Splinterlands is changing the paradigm that requires mandatory investment to generate rewards. Now you can earn cards, sell them, and buy them from the start, which is great. In addition, this game mode was launched at the end of July, so you can already play it without any problems.
How do I start playing Frontier?
The process to get started is very easy to follow, and basically this is all you need to do to get started. It's like a step-by-step guide, but you'll see what you need to do next:
Complete "Campaign Mode" and earn "Foundations" cards: This should be your first step in the game: enter campaign mode. To do so, just click here and you'll be taken directly there. Once you're in, all you have to do is complete each chapter as you learn. The mirror deck: Since only cards from the Foundations edition can be used in this game mode, every opponent you face will play with the same deck, meaning there is no advantage in battle. This means that you can only win thanks to your strategies and combinations, which makes it great.
Ranking system and energy: This is a separate system from the other game modes and formats, but it works very similarly to them. Its ranking system is also separate, and, as with the others, you can play up to 50 battles per day.
No cost: As I mentioned, this is a system that requires no investment whatsoever; it's completely free, so all you need is the time to play this new mode, and I hope you do because it looks great.
Rewards and progression:
Daily rewards: This is a new mode where you can earn rewards. You only need to win 5 battles a day to complete the mission. The best part is that you can complete this mission up to 3 times, so be sure to complete it, because you will earn cards and be able to level up your "Foundations" deck.
Cards and packs: The rewards you get for completing missions and seasonal chests are tradable cards, so you can use them in other formats, buy them, and/or sell them.
Chests and ranks: This works pretty much the same as the other formats, as the higher you climb in rank, the better the reward chests you will earn, remembering that their rarities or types are (Minor, Major, and Ultimate).
Frontier Raffles: This is a new initiative that I think is incredible, because the more active you are in the "Frontier" format, the more chances you have to win tickets for raffles where hundreds of cards will be given away each week thanks to a prize pool. So, you should take advantage of this opportunity and compete in this new mode.
