Hey everyone — I’ve been building something fun and finally ready to share it: SambaPools, a football prediction game that runs on Hive blockchain.
If you're into football and crypto, this is for you. You join a pool, predict match outcomes, and earn a share of the prize if you're accurate. Simple, fun, and built for the Hive community.
Why SambaPools?
In Brazil we call this game "Bolão", and I used to play this since high school (long time ago), just writing predictions in a piece of paper. I've always liked the idea of turning something fun like football predictions into a game that’s actually fair and transparent, something community-powered, not run by big betting platforms. With Hive, we’ve got fast, feeless transactions and an active community, so it just made sense.
How it Works
- Deposit Hive in your in-game wallet
- Choose a pool (e.g. Premier League, Champions League, Brazilian League)
- Predict match results and choose bet amount
- Earn points based on your accuracy
- Win a share of the pool!
What's Next
- Custom private pools — create a pool just for you and the friends you choose.
- Maybe different sports or events — I'm open for suggestions.
- Different point systems

I think we should focus on big ticket events and advertise/marketing pool by pool.

Bring it on! It just needs a fun point system, cause if it's only 2-3 options, there are great chances of many people making the exact same bet, and it wouldn't be fun. It needs a minimum variation to make a fun pool distribution. I'm open for new ideas!

Lamentablemente en @fulldeportes tenemos una línea editorial donde el Fantasy, las apuestas y las piscinas de pronósticos, están vetadas.
¿La razón? Tenemos la filosofía de promover prácticas sanas y el juego de apuestas o predicciones no entra dentro de tal doctrina.
Sugiero como alternativa que @mengao presente ésta app en la comunidad @sportstalksocial

Thank you for your kind mention... Yes, I read it courtesy of you.... Unfortunately at @fulldeportes we have an editorial line where Fantasy, betting and prediction pools, are vetoed. The reason? We have a philosophy of promoting healthy practices and betting or prediction gaming does not fall under such a doctrine. I suggest as an alternative that @mengao present this app in the @sportstalksocial community. Thank you for the mention!
