Support Request: Lost HBD Interest After "Cancel Transfer From Savings" Username: @clence

By wnfdiary on 6/9/2025

Hi team,

I recently tried to claim my HBD interest using PeakD. The amount was 7.631 HBD. When I clicked to collect it, I saw a transaction for:

claim savings interest: 7.631 HBD

Immediately afterward, within the same minute, I saw this transaction:

cancel_transfer_from_savings with the same request ID

The problem is:

I did NOT initiate or confirm any cancellation.

Now the 7.631 HBD is neither in my liquid wallet nor deducted from my savings balance.

It appears the interest was never actually credited to me — and the system just wiped it out.

It looks like PeakD or the frontend may have accidentally initiated a transfer from savings instead of simply crediting the interest, and then auto-canceled it. But this caused me to lose the interest I was supposed to receive.

Can someone please look into this or restore the missing 7.631 HBD interest?

Thanks in advance,

BTW This happened before

Interest are collected on the Hive blockchain when the savings balance change. The way Peakd operates is not accidental, but intentional.

Here a the transactions generated on your account:

  1. Initiate a transfer_from_savings operation to generate a change in the savings balance and triggers the interest collection
  2. Interests are collected and added to your savings by the blockchain
  3. The initiated transfer is cancelled.

Therefore, you didn't lose anything or miss anything.

@arcange thank you for explaining. So these interests go directly to Staked HBD? Because I don't see them in my HBD?

You're welcome.

So these interests go directly to Staked HBD?

Yes

BTW, I noticed I miss your witness vote 😢 Do you mind casting one to me? It would be much appreciated!
