When my family was younger and my husband was alive, we always tried to have lots of flower plants, trees, and fruit and food plants.
As the years went by and responsibilities increased, this task became very difficult for me. In fact, I had cement poured over the entire front of the house.
Then my son-in-law came into our lives, and the first thing he asked me was not to cover the remaining piece of land, that he would recover it and plant it.
And so it has been. A huge blessing. During the years of terrible food shortages in 2016 and 2017, we sustained ourselves by planting cassava, beans, tomatoes, avocados, and other crops thanks to my son-in-law.
Today, I'm always focused on the plants, since everyone at home is away for work. And this activity makes me very happy. I've always wanted to have a garden. As a child, growing up in the countryside with my parents, I learned how to plant, how to plow corn, and how to wash rivers with stones—that's where I come from.

Today, I'm always focused on the plants, since everyone at home is away for work. And this activity makes me very happy.
