In a world driven by data, where top business managers rely on data collected to make tough decisions that could either cause their organization to thrive or be left behind, it becomes very important for companies to get the services of a data analyst.
Data analytics is a technical skill that deals with the collection of data, sorting the data, cleaning the data, and making sense of the data through data visualization, which is able to help business owners and managers to make data-driven decisions.
So if I have a whole month to myself and the necessary resources are duly catered for, the skill I would opt for is data analysis.
Why data analysis?
As an entrepreneur who already has skills in event decorations and phone and laptop repairs, a knowledge of data analysis would help me incorporate data-driven decisions and be able to know my customer base, which is very important for any business.
Furthermore, as a graduate of agricultural economics and farm management, I can easily use the skills acquired as a data analyst to help farmers make informed decisions as far as the farm is concerned.
I read an article recently, and it said to make money you either solve a small problem for a large amount of people and make a lot of money, or you solve a huge problem for a small number of people and get highly paid either way.
The need for data analysts by multinational corporations will make me choose this part because at entry level, data analysts earn roughly about $80 to $120, which can give me a boost financially.
My love for adventure would make me choose data analysis as a skill to acquire because as a data analyst I could work for several corporations withoutissues because most data jobs are either fully online or hybrid, where the analyst gets to physically come to the office a particular number of times in a week or in a month depending on the terms of the contract.
As an adventure-loving person, I love a skill that will make me work with multinational cooperation because you will sometimes get all-expense-paid trips either for vacations or for international functions. 😊 I like good things. You know, right?.
Apart from the fun stuff, data analysis requires an understanding of tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python programming, and a lot of other tools.
A knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Bi can get a data analyst going for entry level, but of course mastery takes time and constant exercise of knowledge.
Data is one of the surest ways to keep track of business success and everything in-between because the numbers don't lie, so if you would like to provide the resources needed for me to embark on a one-month data journey, feel free to let me know in the comments section, and I will be glad to tell you what is required.
Thank you for stopping by.
