Hello friend's, How are you? I hope you are happy and healthy. So today I made my husband’s all-time favourite Sattu ka Paratha. It is very easy to make and actually tastes good and super healthy too. He’s very particular about what he eats. He walks daily, avoids oily food, and prefers light homecooked meals. So i always tries to make something that is good for his health yet tasty.
Sattu is basically roasted gram flour. It’s loaded with protein, fibre, and gives you solid energy – perfect for days when you wanna eat clean but taste well.
Ingredients ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1 cup sattu (roasted gram flour)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
1/2 tsp turmaric powder
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp garam masala powder
A pinch of black salt
Salt to taste
1 small onion (finely chopped)
2 tbsp grated carrot
2 tbsp chopped capsicum
2 tbsp fresh coriander
1–2 tsp achaar ka masala or oil (or plain oil if you don’t want it spicy)
A bit of oil or ghee for cooking
Preparation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Firstly, In a big bowl, mix both flours – sattu and wheat.
Add the ajwain, cumin powder, garam masdla, black pepper both salts, onion, carrot, capsicum, and coriander.
Mix everything well with your hands.
Now comes the fun part – add that pickle oil or masala. If you're not into spicy stuff, just use plain oil.
Slowly add water and knead into a nice soft dough.Let it rest for 10 minutes, covered.
Take a little dough and make small balls out of it.
Now roll each ball into a round paratha using a rolling pin.
Heat a tawa (griddle) on medium flame.Place the rolled paratha on the hot tawa.
Cook one side until it gets light golden spots. Flip it over and cook the other side too.
Add a little oil or ghee on both sides and press gently.
Cook until both sides are golden brown and nicely done.
Your paratha is all done—healthy and tasty! 😋 You can enjoy it with some achar (pickle), coriander chutney, or just plain dahi (curd). Trust me, it tastes amazing with any of them!
Why This Paratha Is Amazing : Rich in vegetables and protein Very filling and easy to digest It tastes even better with that tiny bit of achaar oil. Additionally, it always makes my husband smile. This is the dish to try if you're searching for something quick, delicious, and healthful. Ideal for lunch, dinner, or even breakfast. So if you want something easy, fast, and good for you, try this spicy sattu paratha. You’ll love how filling and tasty it is!
