Why Family Dinners Are the Glue That Holds Us Together

I woke up early today and went on about my daily routine like always and while I was on my way I was thinking about the people who are far away from their country and home

in a different country, far away from family living a life that's more difficult since they got no loved ones there, can't spend time with them nor they can eat dinner together

I was like I need to be grateful about it cause I have my family here and everyday when I go to work I know someone at home is waiting for me.

The Last Family Dinner

One of the perk for living in a soutb Asian country is that you get to live with your parents doesn't matter if you're in teenage or past 20, 30s

Mostly people prefer living together with the family under one roof, different floors and rooms obviously.

So we get to eat together like all the time from breakfast to dinner and lunch, it's always together with each other.

When you're on the same table and one of the person from the family is missing while the dinner is ready on the table

We'd wait for the person to join us so we can begin with the dinner

Unless if someone is really hungry no one eats first or before anyone else which is something good as it makes our bonding strong, less fights and more understanding between the family members.

Never Went Bad?

Watched a lot of movies and most of them used to fight on the family dinner table like that's the way they show toxicity

Making people think every problem starts from that dinner

Though in real life I've never had a dinner with family that went terribly wrong... We do discussions all the time from personal or daily life to politics while doing the dinner

But always being sarcastic and do fun together rather than spilling the drink on each other.

And I guess doing dinner with the family is one major reason why our families stick together even after adulthood.. they don't leave parents or shift to a separate home away from parents

My mentality is like we have been raised by our parents and now it's time to pay off which isn't possible cause what they did for us will always be the greatest act someone did to us

But now we gotta take care of them and their dreams, right? So it all starts with home together and dinners are apart of it, my daily life routine which is something I'll forever be grateful for cause I know people who are living in a different country away from parents and can't even sit together on the same sofa.

Wrapping Up....

When it'll be my turn I'll be teaching my kids to do dinners together with each other so the tradition goes on forever.

Seeing the trend nowadays to settle alone once you're grown up as people are calling it "being independent" but that's more like "getting rid off responsibilities" and parents are our responsibility so being independent is just how people cope with nowadays.

Anyways about to dinner with the fam so see you on the next blog.

Truly, having family close and sharing simple moments like dinner makes all the difference in life. It’s a privilege that many people living far away don’t have, and appreciating that is so important
