Hello beautiful people of this amazing community, today I'll be sharing one of my simplest chocolate cake recipes with you all. I promise, when I say you can make this cake with less than $2, that's enough for more than 20 cupcakes π. I forgot to snap my eggs, vegetable oil, and flour... I don't have any left so that's why they're out of the picture π. If you're using this batter for cupcakes, it would give you at least 20 cupcakes, but if it's a whole cake, it would give you maybe two pans and a few cupcakes.
The Ingredients are straightforward. Coco powder
- Cocoa powder 1 cup
- Sugar 1 1/4 cup
- Vegetable oil 1cup
- 2 Egg
- Flour 2 cup
- Baking p/baking soda 2tbsp each
- pinch of salt
- Coffee (optional)
- Hot water 1/2 cup
- Milk
- Vinegar
*Mix your sugar and egg together till fluffy, then add your oil and mix till emulsified. In a separate bowl, mix all your dry ingredients together. You can use the buttermilk you have, but if you don't, you can make yours at home. Put your milk in a cup, add your vinegar, and set aside to curdle (at least 10 minutes). When it's all firm, add your dry ingredients in batches, and in between, add your buttermilk. Mix untill it's completely smooth. Now on another cup, add a little coffee to your hot water and pour into the mixed batter. Fold, and make sure not to overwork your batter. Once you're done, put them in your pan and set them in your preheated oven. I bake mine for sometimes 30mins or more, since I use a local oven, sometimes the heat gets higher than most times lol.
Hope you had a splendid day today, even tho the day is almost over. Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you get to share this with your loved ones. Trust me when I say this is the easiest and fudgiest chocolate cake you'll see, and the ingredients are just the basics π.
All images are mine Thanks for stopping by π€
