I love music so much that I would love to learn how to play the instrument. Most times I feel shy to anything, I get the feeling sometimes that no matter the effort I apply to leaning anything, I still won’t come out as good as I will love to come out, it is depressing to know that you are sometimes timid about a lot of things even when those things could change your life a lot. Growing up, I loved playing football, but because of a lack of self-confidence, I wouldn’t play well when others were watching. Even when I am playing well and I come to the realisation that others are watching, I tend to lose my stamina and end up playing badly. I need to be very good at something before I gain complete confidence in it.

For the love of music, if I get the opportunity to get the resources I need for a month to learn anything of my choice, I will choose to learn the guitar. I have had a love for music, so well, I feel a little guidance will go very far for me to perfect the knowledge and the skill to perfection. I have an ear for music and sound, and putting as many resources as I need for a month will go a long way in helping me perfect the art of guitar playing.

If I get this chance in this life, to help me learn the guitar, I will put all effort and time necessary to achieve perfection, this is so because I have had this longing to learn how to play the guitar since when I was little, I love the bass guitar so much that I get goose bums just hearing the sound, just imagine what it will do me when I learn to play! If I love the guitar so much, why haven’t I learned it all these years? Well, I have not been able to learn how to play the guitar ever since due to a lack of finances, to buy a guitar for myself and also to register in a music school. I learn better if I have a guardian who will help me navigate my journey for a better understanding.

Having to start something and to be able to complete it has been a serious challenge for me for as long as I can remember. I can recall a lot of things that I started and couldn’t finish, and had to drop them along the way. I tried to upskill, and for some reason, I procrastinated, and to date, I have yet to upskill. This happens mostly because I find it difficult to fully grasp whatever it is that I am doing, and as a result of impatience, whenever I pressure myself to learn, sometimes because I do not have sufficient time on my hands and have other activities that clash with it.

If given a lifetime opportunity like this, with unlimited resources to materials that will help me achieve my learning process within a month, the skill set I will choose will be music, and by music, learning the guitar, for the following reasons. Because of my love of the art of music I have, I will take it very seriously and will devote a lot of my time to it, foregoing other activities that might take my time for the said period of a month, focusing fully on learning the guitar. I will also be able to achieve the milestone of a month because I will want to have the confidence to play the guitar anywhere and at any time. Because of this, I will put a lot of effort into making sure I achieve a great milestone within the month. The guitar is an instrument that one will always continue to perfect, which makes it also a good choice since it will not limit me to just the month at the end, but also give me the edge to learn on my own, having owned every material and resource that I might need.
