It’s late at night, let’s say 2 a.m. I’m just walking around and stumbling to my dark apartment after a long day at work. I’m just half asleep. With a sleepy eye, not paying attention. Then I walk straight to my door, and the next day is my forehead first. The third echoes, I’m standing there rubbing my head with pain, so much pain. I’m wondering how did I forget that the door was there that I hit my head on the door.
But it’s more than just that moment. That head on the door, it’s just like those times that life catches you. So you are just quizzing a lot, thinking you always got all things figured out, and then what, something unexpected hits you.
Maybe you missed a deadline of a work or something, a project, or that talk conversation, or just a random cover that leaves you surprised. Because sometimes this situation is very humbling. It’s just like the universe, slow down and pull pay close attention. It’s not how far but how well, and detailed you do something.
This makes me think about the mass we always leave behind too. It’s not just a metaphorical bump on things going on to our head, but this kind of story we always carry. So every time I’m opportunity to see a door now, I’ll just chuckle when I remember that late night condition. Maybe I won’t check for just a dance, this is just a minute, like just imagine that that can be messy sometimes. Sometimes just gonna laugh through all those pains and failures.
The c doors are wedding night. They see doors are wedding night, are widely symbolic, right? There are transitions from new rooms, ushering into new rooms and new possibilities. But do you know that that thing that can also stop you if you don’t pay attention properly?
Head on the door. It’s just time to teach us to pause and approach the next step with a little more care. Or maybe you watching where you’re supposed to be going.
