There are always individuals whom are really nosey and want to be in the know of what is happening everywhere and to everyone.

Their favourite past time is essentially sticking their head on the door whenever people get summoned into the boss's office, and they will be the ones whom that will carry what they heard to the department. And typically that is where all the wild fire and rumours start spreading.

If you find that there are such individuals in your department, remember to stay away from them. While they might be a good source of insiders, information about you might be leaked and you will find yourself being looked at with weird eyes by others.

There will always be someone in your department that do that and what you can do is to just focus on your work, avoid gossiping and getting involved with those people.
