I may have nothing, not even evidence, but I have hope, hope that it will be well with me, hope that when I fall, I won't stay on that ground. Hope that my efforts will amount to something truly significant in my life.

Hope is a powerful thing, a quote from this famous movie "The Shawshank Redemption" made in 1994 is so profound I had to write about it.

It was said by Arthur Ashe in the movie.

"Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies."

Hope really is something very special. Even when life is at its hardest ever, hope helps us keep going. How many times the greats fail, they can't count. Why do they not give up? Well you could say they are strong willed or it's their personality, strength if character ot discipline. But I can sum it up into one word "Hope"

It's foolish to keep putting effort into something that is bound to fail unless you just want to do it because you're bored or you just like to waste time. The greats are not stupid and so the only reason they keep putting effort and resources into a project or into their on betterment is because they have hope that there's still a chance of success, that they'll get exactly what they're looking for.

Hope gives meaning to all our efforts that seem to be hitting a wall. It gives us also the strength to keep believing that things will or can get better.

At first you don't succeed, try again, is another good quote but I'll like to complete that quote.

Without hope, Thomas Edison would not be the name we mention when we're talking about light bulb invention. Elon Musk will not be the one we mention when we talk about reusable space rockets. Even Donald Trump wouldn't be president if he didn't have hope that after all the court cases, he could still win the election.

Hope has always been the true secret to getting hard and seemingly impossible tasks done. Hope is a good thing that never really dies. I know you've heard a statement like, "all hope is lost" that statement is not really about hope being lost but the individual finding it difficult to hold on to hope probably because of doubts or fear. Hope is never really lost till you're dead. If you're alive, the no matter the condition, have hope that life will get better someday.

The hope wll cause you to keep seeking better days.
