)Buenos días amigos de la comunidad viajera, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes un lugar muy bonito e interesante donde podremos disfrutar de la Floralis Genérica, la cual, es un monumento en forma de flor realizada en acero inoxidable que adorna una de las plazas más importantes del barrio Recoleta en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Un encuentro único y sorprendente con esta hermosa y majestuosa escultura, representando a todas las flores del mundo.
Good morning friends of the traveling community, this time I want to share with you a very beautiful and interesting place where we can enjoy the Floralis Generica, which is a flower-shaped monument made of stainless steel that adorns one of the most important squares of the Recoleta neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires. A unique and surprising encounter with this beautiful and majestic sculpture, representing all the flowers of the world.

)El creador de este monumento quiso reproducir el comportamiento natural de algunas flores, un aspecto importante y muy peculiar de esta creación ya que tiene movimiento, abriendo sus pétalos a medida que va transcurriendo el día y luego se van cerrando hasta llegar la noche. Esta impresionante flor, fue fundada en el año 2002 por un arquitecto argentino llamado Eduardo Catalano, diseñándola con cuatro pétalos. El año pasado, recuerdo un evento meteorológico importante ocurrido en la ciudad donde hubo fuertes vientos y doblo uno de sus pétalos. Actualmente y cómo podemos observar en las fotos recientes, todo fue solucionado para la admiración de todos.
The creator of this monument wanted to reproduce the natural behavior of some flowers, an important and very peculiar aspect of this creation since it has movement, opening its petals as the day goes by and then closing until the night arrives. This impressive flower was founded in 2002 by an Argentine architect named Eduardo Catalano, who designed it with four petals. Last year, I remember an important meteorological event occurred in the city where there were strong winds and bent one of its petals. Currently and as we can see in the recent photos, everything was fixed to the admiration of all.

)El fin de semana pasado decidimos pasear un rato e ir a conocer un poco más de esta flor y no solo por el tipo de material que está hecha, sino por sus grandes dimensiones, tiene una medida aproximada de 20 metros de altura.
Last weekend we decided to go for a walk and learn a little more about this flower and not only for the type of material it is made of, but also for its large dimensions, it is approximately 20 meters high.

)Llegar al lugar es muy accesible ya que existen varios medios de transportes que te dejan muy cerca, este barrio es muy reconocido en la zona por ser muy turístico. Mi familia y yo llegamos a la plaza alrededor de las 12 del mediodía justo en su mejor esplendor, lo primero que observamos fue su inmensidad que se nota desde lejos y el brillo de cada pétalo que es digno de admirar desde cualquier ángulo. El día estaba hermoso y la plaza con sus áreas verdes hacen que la principal atracción se dirija hacia la flor, ubicada justo en el centro.
Getting to the place is very accessible since there are several means of transportation that leave you very close, this neighborhood is well known in the area for being very touristy. My family and I arrived at the square around 12 noon just at its best splendor, the first thing we noticed was its immensity that is noticeable from afar and the brightness of each petal that is worth admiring from any angle. The day was beautiful and the square with its green areas make the main attraction is directed towards the flower, located right in the center.

)Nos encontramos con bancos y sillas extensibles para recostarte y admirar esta belleza o solo caminar en torno a ella y visualizar cada detalle de toda la parte tecnológica que la componen.
We find benches and extendable chairs to lean back and admire this beauty or just walk around it and visualize every detail of all the technological part that compose it.

)La base de la flor está rodeada por un gran círculo que cada cierto tiempo la llenan de agua, formándose como especie de un espejo de agua que lo hace reflejar en sus pétalos, por lo general esto ocurre durante el verano (actualmente estamos en invierno).
The base of the flower is surrounded by a large circle that every so often fill it with water, forming a kind of a mirror of water that makes it reflect on its petals, usually this happens during the summer (we are currently in winter).

)El lugar se presta para pasar un día tranquilo de picnic, observar un poco la naturaleza, leer un libro o simplemente sentarse a conversar y listo. Nosotros nos sentamos un rato a descansar en la sombra, recibiendo la visita de un lindo amiguito que nos alegró aún más el día. Estos son momentos que no se olvidan y que de alguna forma nos ponen más en contacto con la naturaleza. Por otro lado, en los alrededores se encuentran varios sitios atractivos como la Universidad de Derecho, Plaza Thays, ferias de comida, los cuales mostrare a más detalle en próximos posts.
The place lends itself to spend a quiet day picnicking, observing nature, reading a book or just sitting and chatting and that's it. We sat down for a while to rest in the shade, receiving a visit from a cute little friend who made our day even better. These are unforgettable moments that somehow put us more in touch with nature. On the other hand, in the surroundings there are several attractive places such as the University of Law, Plaza Thays, food fairs, which I will show in more detail in future posts.
