Rishkhar Village A trip to the heart of the Hezar Masjed Mountains Where its summers are paradise and its winters are snowy

By azamsohrabi on 8/3/2025

Hello to all tourist friends. I hope you are doing well .

This time I want to tell you about one of the beautiful villages located along the Hezar Masjed mountains. A village called Rishkhar. A calm and pristine place that has a different atmosphere with its unique nature, deep in the mountains.

Rishkhar is a small mountainous village, its houses are simple, its people are hospitable and friendly, and the weather is always cool. Especially when you are tired of the heat of the city, if you come here, you won't notice the summer heat. The air is completely pleasant.

Here, people speak with a beautiful old accent that is still alive among them. Most people here are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. During my trip here, I walked a distance with friends and wanted to take photos of the region's nature and the type of their houses for you. We will see them together next.

The way to Rishkhar is a beautiful experience in itself. The road gradually twists between the mountains, and the further you go, the more beautiful the views become. The mountains of Hazarmasjed around you have risen up, and from the depths of the valleys, ancient and lush juniper trees have emerged. It feels like you've entered a calm and untouched world. It was truly amazing for me. And since I took these photos in the spring, its beauty was doubled.

The houses in Rishkhar were very interesting to me. They are usually built in a stepped and multi-story manner. Because the village is on the slopes of the mountain. This means that when a house is built lower down, its roof can be the floor of the yard of the house above it. This way, the houses are lined up like steps on top of each other, and there are narrow stairways between them that the villagers use to move around.

This model of being up and down has given the overall view of the village from the tall mountains around it a unique perspective.

Like this elderly lady who was looking around on the roof of her house, I also took a photo from this angle. Or like the next photo, which was of a building with a view of the balcony of another building easily.

bearded people sometimes set up tents in the summer or during the summer pastures, on the slopes of the mountain. They find a flat piece of land, set up their tent, circle their sheep around it, and stay there from night until morning. There is no sound, only the sound of the wind and the bells of the sheep.
It has a special tranquility.

The model of the houses in Rishkhar is very special and old. The walls are made of stone and clay, they are both sturdy and keep warm in the winter. The wooden beams of the ceiling, which are also visible in the photo, serve both as supports and give a traditional feel to the house.

I really liked the wooden porches in front of their houses. It's a place where they often sit in the evenings and drink tea. The ceiling is also made of wood and planks, completely handmade, without modern machinery.

I wanted to take pictures up close because the true vibe of these houses is not visible from afar; you need to see the details; a feeling of old but pure life.

I wanted to tell you more about the overall vibe of the village in today's post. I hope you liked it.

Rishkhar village is a pleasant climate village located in Razavi Khorasan province and Darghaz county. Geographically, it is situated in the middle of tall mountains and has a relatively cold climate. This means that in winter, it is really cold there!

If you want to go from Mashhad to Rishkhar, you have to travel about 170 kilometers. The route passes through Chapeshlou and eventually leads you to a mountainous area.

If you want to calculate its height from sea level, it is very high, which is why it is cool in summer and snowy in winter.

I was reading the post of my dear friend @dtam yesterday and I noticed that I liked his adventurous trip and nature exploration in Katmai National Park, and I liked that he captured such beautiful photos of animals, especially bears. I liked the quality of the images and the pristine nature of Alaska.

until another adventure trip goodbye .
