It was meant to be just a swift visit to Abu Dhabi. Only an hour away from home. It was the kind of escape we could easily return from the same day. But my husband surprised me when he said we would stay overnight. The pace of our getaway shifted. No more watching the time or planning when to leave. We had all the time we needed to curb and enjoy.

We woke up early and excited to make the most of our time. After a small warm up and our usual walking exercise, we went to Bayshore Beach Club. A spot I had always wanted to visit. The moment we strode in, I was instantly surprised. It felt like wandering into a silent tropical retreat in the middle of the city. Tall palm trees lined the way that greeted us. Everything was well-maintained. There was this calm energy all around. Calmness was the word that came to me. I couldn’t stop looking around taking in the view.

We walked toward the beach. The sunrise had just begun to extend across the sky. The sky was hazy creating a soothing light over the whole area. The smooth white sand covered the shoreline. Dotted with amiable cabanas that added a sign of comfort to the natural beauty. I found my place and just sat there for a while letting the scene flow over me. My husband wandered around, doing his usual curious walkabout. I sat there taking in the breath of wind and the moment. The sea looked calm, but as the sun climbed higher. The heat and humidity began to move in. I wasn’t too excited to swim in seawater under that kind of weather. My husband came back and said, Let’s try the pool, it’s cooler and there’s plenty of shade. It was the perfect suggestion.

As we walked to the pool area, of course had to stop and take some photos. Everything was photogenic. The palm lined trail, the stylish layout and the calmness of the place. We passed by the children’s pool area and I couldn't help but appreciate how clean it was. The beach chairs were organized in perfect rows. Giving the whole place a touch of care. The setup made the area feel inviting, safe and truly family friendly.

When we got to the pool area, I was even more struck. There was elegant infinity pool and a Jacuzzi tucked away in one corner. My husband and I were so glad to start our day with a refreshing morning swim in such an awesome setting. The calm water and ambiance were just the two of us enjoying the moment. It was the kind of morning that right away raised our spirits and made us feel grateful.

We continued our walk to find a good spot. We came over a row of cabanas near the pool, offering a comfortable and secluded space for relaxation. I was truly amazed by the inclusive design of Bayshore Resort. It had a stylish, cool vibe with palm trees meekly lining the area, creating a refreshing tropical feel. In the garden space, there was a hammock hammock hanging chair. My husband couldn’t withstand trying it out. He swung softly with a big smile on his face and enjoying the moment. Sunbeds were set up finely for visitors who wanted to sunbathe in the sun.

We found our ideal spot and settled in for a bit. We're just enjoying the placid surroundings. Not long after, my husband eagerly went for a swim. He's enjoying the cool water under the morning sun. He looked so happy splashing around. Then made his way to the Jacuzzi to enjoy the warm bubbling water. I took a few photos to capture the moments.

I decided to follow him to the pool to cool down and join in the fun. It was superbly refreshing. We swam, floated and laughed. Just two people savouring a quiet morning away from the usual. It was the perfect way to start the day relaxed, refreshed and together.
