Where a whole Devlok is hidden under the earth โ€“ Patal Bhuvaneshwar Cave..

By raka01 on 8/2/2025

Hello to all my dear friends I hope everyone is well, your days are going well and will be better in near future.I am good with your unconditional support. Friends, yesterday I and my friends went to visit the Patal Bhuvneshwar cave. This mysterious cave is located in Bhuvneshwar village of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, which is situated at an altitude of about 1350 meters above sea level. Our journey started at 7 am and this place is about 70 km away from the village, where it took us about 3 hours to reach. Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave is a limestone cave about 160 meters long and 90 feet deep. As soon as you enter the cave, it feels as if you have reached some other world. Here you can see naturally formed figures of Shiva-Parvati, Sheshnag, Kaal Bhairav, Chardham, and 33 crore gods and goddesses and other things. Every figure appears so clear and divine that one's head automatically bows down in reverence. The guide who was with us told us that this cave was discovered by King Rituparna, who was a king of Surya dynasty and ruled Ayodhya in Treta Yuga. As soon as we reached, we first parked our bike, then took prasad, incense sticks and temple items, then clicked photos near the gate. From this place, snow-capped mountains are visible in the morning but we reached late so we couldn't see the view.

After that we reached the gate near the cave below. From here the cave was located at a distance of 20 meters and from the first gate it was 200 meters. Friends, four of us went to the gate and we asked a brother to click a photo, which will be a memorable moment for tomorrow.

Friends, here is the ticket to enter the temple. As soon as we reached a little further, first of all we washed our hands and feet and took the ticket to enter the cave. We were 4 people and were charged 290 rupees. We were very happy to go inside, especially me because I had been to this cave 2 times before. There were many bells and dupattas hanging on the way. Shiva Linga ๐Ÿ”ฑ

Friends there was crowd on this day but very less, last time I went I had to wait for 1 hour but yesterday only for 10 minutes.

Friends, this is the main entrance of the cave. It looks small but everyone goes here.

People who come for the first time are very curious to see the cave from outside.

Friends, the way to enter the cave is narrow and full of adventure. At many places you have to bend and crawl to move forward, but as you go inside, the mystery and spirituality of the cave becomes even deeper.

There was light everywhere inside the cave and the path was clearly visible but it was very slippery so we took the help of the chains on the side of the path. After going down a little, the path became open. There were chains only every 20 meters. It was a very steep and slippery path.

We 20 people went inside the cave together and there was a guide with us who told us about many things inside the cave, whatever was there, it seemed as if it was real,Got a lot of peace of mind. There was a Shiv Linga at the end of the cave, we worshipped there and took prasad. Friends, there were some caves inside the cave that remained closed and the guide told me that some caves had no end. There was such a cave inside this cave. Friends, this cave is the abode of 33 crore gods and goddesses of Hinduism. Meditation: The calm and serene atmosphere of Patal Bhuvaneshwar is an ideal place to meditate peacefully.

This trip was not just a sightseeing experience but also a spiritual experience that touched us deeply.

If you are coming to Uttarakhand, do visit Patal Bhuvaneshwar โ€“ this place is a wonderful amalgamation of mystery and faith in itself.

I want to tell all the travellers and tourists that if you are planning a trip to Uttarakhand, then do visit Patal Bhuvaneshwar. This cave is a miraculous place where nature has created the figures of gods and goddesses with its own hands. These are not any made idols, but are amazing creations made naturally.
