Hello everyone...

On my first visit to Singapore, I missed this destination, but I don't know why. I still had enough time to visit two must-see tourist attractions. That's why I decided to return to Singapore to explore the places I'd never been before. The last time I was in Singapore, I enjoyed my solo trip so much that I was hooked. This time, I had a tiring experience searching for the viral Canning Tunnel. Let's follow my story...
Let's get it!
This is a little guide for those of you who use the MRT, if you want to go to Fort Canning Park, you have to get off at Fort Canning station, but if you want to go to Fort Canning Tree Tunnel. Then you have to get off at Dhouby Ghout. Don't be like me, I wanted to go to Fort Canning Tree Tunnel, but I got off at Fort Canning station instead, resulting in me walking quite a distance to reach my destination. But at least I stopped by at a beautiful and green park.

It was still early afternoon, but the sun was still blazing hot in Fort Canning Park. Fortunately, it was a park, so there were several places to seek shade from the sun. Besides, picnicking in this open space with the family was the most enjoyable experience. The park is very child-friendly.
There are many children's play areas, the most important being the sandpit and the seesaw. I walked around the area and saw many children playing on these two rides. There was also a large rock slide.
According this board, in fact in this park they were cultivate the Old school plants. There are many classic plants around this park, including several large trees, as well as traditional plants that are still allowed to grow around the park.

Now let's finding the Fort Canning Tunnel Tree...

After enjoying the vibe of Fort Canning Park for a few minutes with a can of coffee from the vending machine, I continued my exploration. I felt rushed, afraid of being late, as I still had several places I wanted to go after the Fort Canning Tree Tunnel. I walked in the direction indicated to visitors—after being frustrated by the lack of internet, I finally mustered up the courage to ask a park visitor. They told me to follow the stairs, and I did. Luckily, there was an escalator, so with my suitcase, I had no trouble and saved some energy. Then I followed the signs on several sides of the park.
When I saw this, I paused. This was the Forbidden Fountain. This was a historic site for kings in ancient times. The reason it's called Larangan (English meaning "prohibition") is because only nobles were allowed to bathe in this fountain.
I really like this carving, it's really very aesthetic.

After the Prohibition Fountain, I thought I was close to my destination but it turns out I was wrong. I seemed to be fooled by the signs I read on several sides. From the last place I stopped I took the escalator, I thought it was upstairs, after I went up 3 escalators it turned out there were stairs down, I’d be like: What’s going on? Am I being pranked? With my suitcase getting heavier, I went down the stone stairs, but still couldn’t find the place I wanted to visit, poor me. This was because my internet suddenly couldn’t be used so I was completely lost.
I stopped by here for a while because I started to tired.
After following the directions again—hoping this time they were correct, I followed them. It wasn't, and I had to face the stairs again. It was a surprise to discover that the Fort Canning Tree Tunnel I was looking for was on the side of the road, which seemed closer than Dhoby Ghout station. Oh my God. But finally…
Here is it:
When I arrived at Fort Canning Tree Tunnel, the queue was already quite long. It was the queue to take selfies from below, like the poses people often see on social media. Exhausted, I couldn't stand the long wait, so I just stopped by for a moment.
For me, finally arriving at this viral destination was enough. Indeed, when you look up from the bottom of the tunnel, it's truly beautiful. It feels like a hole that will suck you in and transport you to outer space—I'm exaggerating, isn't it?
Exploring a new place without internet—a digital map in your hand—is a hassle. I don't recommend it. When you travel anywhere, internet is essential these days. Even if the locals don't speak English, it can help you translate. Luckily, I can still speak English here, so it's quite helpful even without internet. However, it does require extra energy.
However… I'm happy to be here. A new place for me…

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance. Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
