The 2nd week of the season ended up as a losing one but overall the damage is limited and I actually feel quite ok about most of the choices that I made. The reality of betting is that it's not a straight line up week-to-week and there will be plenty of losing ones along the way. In fact, more than half of the weeks last season in the regular season ended negative. I would say the grind is on again and I will just keep going in a similar way as the last 8+ years which overall produced a chart that feels like it's only going up as the weekly results are neglectable there.
I would say right now I am quite sharp even though somehow I mistakenly took one bet wrong as I selected Cercle on the team total over instead of Anderlecht in the last and biggest cost-average entry. This cost me 0.167 units the way it played out while at the same time it could not have mattered or even saved me money in case it was Cercle who scored a goal. It sucks though to lose some money this way and these are things that lower the overall edge a bit which already isn't that big. Basically I can't afford to make mistakes like this too often.
I'm also trying to make some adjustments tracking multiple angles. The main dilemma in betting for me is always that between 'value' and 'winner'. I tend to always go for value often also taking rather uncomfortable bets but in reality it are the bets I feel are winners without much value which are the ones that tend to perform just way better. it remains a very tricky matter though.
Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2025-2026
I ended up having 2 'official highlighed' betting selection in the previews last week.
Genk 1st Half -0.25 @ 1.865 which ended in a 1-1 Draw at Half Time which was fair as Genk depite playing on the half of Antwerp most of the time simply didn't create enough while Antwerp did wel on the counters that they got. I expected Genk to be better in this one.
Charleroi vs Stvv Under 2.75 @ 1.937 turned out into a winner despite the fact that there was an early penalty and a total comedy capers goal. The general trend in this match however was under and a 2.5 line or even 2.25 line would have been more in place. I did split my own bets in 1H and FT bets which only got me to partially make profit from this one.

Season 2025-2026 Personal Betting Chart
I'm still trying to get my volume up and right now I'm doing quite ok forcing myself to bet just a little bit more than I want which still is way less that I'm financially capable. I want to do well but at the same time don't want to get in a situatio where I'm all of a sudden down 5 to 8 units again having to spend another season slowly grinding my way up again. I did stake a little over 6 units and aim to get to 8 or above on average. It will be easier to do once I'm up a couple units though.
