Greetings, fellow readers. Well, one more time @galenkp gave us some interesting topics to thinking about. This week has flown by. I have new projects I am working on, new activities, which I enjoy. I am singing with a choir and I had my first performance. And, although I thought I was going to be nervous, everything flowed very well, I feel very happy. Let's get to this week's topic. Since I am in a moment of changes and projects, it seemed to me that the best topic to write about is the following:
Draw your goals on paper, share the drawing and explain what the goals are and why.
When I have new projects I feel new energy, I feel the push that gives me to think about them, to organize a plan, to foresee changes, challenges, new paths to start. I am a curious person, who likes to learn, to grow and this is an excellent moment for me. Moving, changing country, changing situation, is in itself a challenge. I have had to adapt from a completely urban, capital city life in my country, Venezuela, to a life in a small beach town in Spain that I had never visited before. That is why I now have new objectives, although some of them already existed, I am redefining them.
Financial freedom
A priority goal for me at the moment is to achieve financial freedom, that is, not to be a slave to work in order to cover my needs with peace of mind. But I must take a first step to achieve this goal that I have not been able to reach for many years: financial stability as a self-employed person.
My current way of generating income is not stable, but neither do I want to work for a company for eight hours every day for a low salary, which will not allow me to achieve my goal, to be able to generate passive income and be able to invest, to achieve financial freedom. I must admit that I have lacked strategy and consistency. That is why I am now advising myself to start new forms of income that are more stable and higher. I am looking for ways to offer my services in platforms that make me visible to more people, to be more constant in promoting my services in the networks with strategies that make me more visible.
Learning more about tecnology
I was born last century, when I grew up and was educated there were no computers or smartphones. When the use of computers became widespread, I was 30 years old. I bought my first phone with internet access when I was in my forties. Therefore, I had to learn as an adult how to handle computer technology, we live in a completely computerized world. It has not been easy for me.
I recognize that the digital era has facilitated many activities and has democratized them. What we used to do with a large number of devices can now be done with just one. Nowadays, we have a telephone, a mailbox with immediate sending and receiving, a camera, a voice recorder, a music player, a video camera and a video player. We can also share our ideas and publish what we do to millions of people. It is extraordinary what computer technology, the Internet, has achieved in just a few years.
My problem with today's technology is the unsettling speed with which it changes. I haven't learned how to handle one tool or platform when soon another one comes along that I must learn to handle. Already at my age, I am almost 60 years old, going at the delirious pace at which technology is changing is not easy for me. I realize that there is a conscious resistance to these changes. But actually resisting is not an option. If you fall behind you're in trouble. Especially if you're in teaching, as I am.
To achieve the first objective that I have mentioned, to achieve my financial freedom, it is essential that I achieve the second objective that I currently have, to update myself in technology, because to increase my income I need to better manage digital tools. In recent months I have done some online workshops on artificial intelligence. And the truth is that it has been very useful for me. Although it intimidates me, without a doubt, the speed at which it responds to me and the amount of information it gives me. .
There are other more personal objectives that I will not write about in this opportunity because I have already written about them in other texts. My process of adapting to a new context, to a new culture, to a new sentimental situation. Without a doubt, in order to achieve my goals it is important for me to do a better planning of my time, of my agenda, and to be more consistent with some of my strategies.

I also belong to the analog generation. We've experienced the transition from analog to digital. We've had to embrace the change, as the path is only one way, and it's forward.
