This weekend I'll spend alone. I've got a few things planned but nothing really all that exciting.
My guy has been away and won't return until later on Sunday, so I suppose I'll only be partially alone all weekend; it's a work thing and unavoidable.
I knew what I signed up for when we got together and that no matter how much I wanted him by my side he'd have to go away at times. I thought I'd be ok with it but it's often very difficult when he's away because I miss his closeness, the way he makes me laugh, looks at me, his sounds and touch and how safe, and happy he makes me feel; the absence is difficult, but the fortunately the coming back together part feels amazing.
He sent me a song on a text message to listen to and I sent him one back; we communicate that way sometimes because often a song or piece of music can say how we feel much better than our words.

The coming back is always wonderful :-) And communicating through songs can be something beautiful. We have many songs that connect us, whenever we hear them in bars or wherever we are, we send a short video of ourselves with the background music. No matter where we are, we think of each other. Thanks for sharing!
Connecting in many different ways deepens the connection and relationship and for us, a couple who have to be apart sometimes, we focus on that connection. We actually have more issues when apart than when together, not big arguments, but disconnections due to the lack of proximity which is why we focus on connection in various ways.
