I'm a bit disappointed this weekend because I had a chance to fly over to spend it with my lovely man but something cam up at the last minute meaning I was not able to. We'd not have been able to spend much time together as he is away working but would have had the evenings and considering where he is I would have been able to find plenty to do when he was off working.
Instead, I'll have to spend it alone but, as always, I have my cats and books, my painting, bubble baths and music as well; I think I'll be able to entertain myself until he comes home.

It's a shame you couldn't travel and spend those afternoons with him. Still, painting or reading a book with good music is a great alternative. The last song brought back memories of the past. I didn't know the second one, but I loved it! Thanks, Becca.💗
It would be nice and sometimes I do travel with him but it depends what type of trip it is and what he's doing really, sometimes it's just not possible and besides, I have my business to run so cannot always leave it either.

My girlfriend sometimes asks me why I don't take her on a business trip, but whether she has to be alone at home or in another city while I'm working, it's clear that she always chooses to stay home. When I plan an official outing, I try to make it as short as possible and to return home as soon as possible, where she is waiting for me.
That's one reason I don't go often but sometimes I do and I enjoy wandering around or using the hotel spa and gym facilities, reading, watching movies and ordering room service while my man is at work. It feels like a mini holiday. Then when he comes back to the hotel we go for walks and meals, meet his colleagues for drinks; it feels nice to be away from home doing such things sometimes. It's rare that I go but I enjoy when I do.

I often stay in hotels that have a spa and never use it, because after a long day with work commitments, I don't have the energy or the time. I don't know how she would like to be in the hotel spa all day, or to walk alone in the streets of a city, she would probably call me often with the question, "when are you coming", which would interfere with my business activities. Although, as you wrote, "mini vacation" sounds interesting 🙂
