My Opinion Regarding Education and the Situation of the Country

By cetb2008 on 7/19/2025

Greetings, friends of Hive and @weekendexperiences, today I'm once again participating in the initiative proposed by @galenkp, in which he presents several topics, allowing us to share our experiences and learn about those of other Hive users.

It is worth noting that on this occasion I am going to give my opinion regarding three important topics that are related to education in my country Venezuela, one of these has to do with Life Projects, Balance of the 2024 - 2025 school years and the municipal elections that will be held on July 27.

Also this week, I was at my son's school, to see the different exhibitions of the life projects of the sixth grade students, each of the children expressed what they wanted to be in the future, engineer, doctor, professional soccer player, flight attendant, soldier, I was amazed that none of them said they wanted to be a teacher to work in schools teaching, this means that soon there will be no professional teachers who will shape the future of a country, all this is due to the current government, which does not value the work of teachers, by not paying them a decent salary and also not enjoying a retirement.

Regarding the 2024-2025 school year, despite the fact that all of us teachers don't receive salaries but rather bonuses, this year is already ending, and the Minister of Education still wants schools to remain open. This has been the worst year for public administration professionals because the government eliminated salaries and social benefits. Teachers who used to retire and live comfortably now have to continue working to survive on their low salaries.

On the other hand, municipal elections will be held again to elect mayors for each municipality across the country. We all know that candidates loyal to the government will win, since they control the electoral power and only ratify mayors who belong to their party. For my part, I won't go out to vote because this is a waste of time and money that should be used to pay the salaries required by public administration professionals, such as teachers, nurses, and doctors.

Finally, if a country does not have a good education, people can be manipulated by the government and they remain in the position for a long time, giving the people misery.

I hope you liked it, see you in a next post.

It is very deplorable the way in which professionals in the fields of education, health and so many other fields that are not valued today are treated. Hopefully at some point things can improve and each person can earn a salary to be able to live in a dignified way. A big hug 🤗

I understand your points of view, dear @cetb2008 because it is a reality that we live here too. It is unfortunate that what education workers do, especially teachers and their role in shaping society, are not valued in their fair measure. Excellent publication. Happy weekend. Cheers and greetings.

Education is the foundation of every successful society. Unfortunately, most countries are forgetting about that and cutting where they should be investing more. But foresight and sustainability are just not qualities in power.

Yes my friend, there is no investment in education and the future is at stake.
