Yeah, winter in my part of Australia is quite mild,no snow like in some of the other parts. I have this weekend off so it's likely I'll be out and about doing something outdoors. I have a five day trip for work at the end of next week and returning the following (over the weekend) so I'll make the most of this coming weekend.

Is that quote from Platon related to his cave-allegory? It's one of the thought experiments that most impacted me, that with every step we take towards knowledge, we lose connection to those who don't, until in the end we might just end up alone - if we're too smart.
I'm not exactly sure where I read that quote from Plato to be honest...I wrote it in my quote book - a haed-bound note book I've had for almost 30 years where I write quotes (when I find them) that resonate with me in the moment and with what's happening in my life. It's a dog-eared raggedy book now, but is valuable as each quote has my thoughts written beside it which are a record of my thoughts over those 30 years.

That is really cool. A quote book. Never thought of that. I basically stopped writing by hand, although I still have many notebooks from before, with many little texts and ideas. I saw that there is a hand-written community, and was thinking about getting into it again, to finally give purpose to some fancy notebooks that I got as gifts.
Today has been very productive, yes, but tiring. Just boiling out the bitterness of some lupin beans, and then I'm off to bed.
Bed sounds good...I'd like to get a solid 8 hours of sleep myself...been a long time since that happened! đľâđŤ
