)"Crush it," is one of my life's mottos - it's something that relates to doing what I do well whether it's my personal or professional life, my relationships, hobbies, sleeping, fucking...you get the idea. I decided a long time ago that my life is far too short and precious to treat with callously and contempt and so I apply many elements and techniques to live it as best I can and...well...to crush it.
Of course, there's a different type of crush, the thing a person feels towards someone else, and I've had a few with one such person being Amy Lee the legit hottie who fronts the rock band Evanescence - An amazingly passionate singer who is very crush-worthy in my opinion.
Evanescence formed in 1994 and I was fortunate to come across them almost immediately - Bloody hell, 1994 feels like a lifetime ago and I guess for me it actually was.
I recall exactly where I was when I came across the band and was unable to buy their CD at the time but it was sent to me and I played it in my Sony Discman (that's a blast from the past) a lot from the moment I got it. I still listen to the band now despite them having had some line-up changes - I'm over that though and as long as Amy Lee remains I'm there!
This week and into the weekend I've been crushing Evanesce, nope not on a Sony Discman I use Spotify now, and have enjoyed the good listening...and still have a crush on Amy Lee.

I got to see them. RECENTLY. (Well, two? Years ago?) If I hadn't, I would have been tempted to get some tickets to Metallica's gig at Adelaide Oval just to see them (Again) - but i will not be doing that as I have no interest in seeing Metallica, or buying tickets just for an opener.
Amy still has some impressive pipes. It was a great show. It was sort of a bitter show, too; because I wish I could have seen them when they first came to Adelaide, when they broke out with the Fallen Album. I wasn't "allowed" to, because my mother forbade it, even though I got the tickets with my own money.
I'm still angry about that today, more than 25 years later. (Or thereabouts)
So many of their tracks, (and back catalogue - (Lies is probably my favourite) - are amazing songs, so much better than the Fallen album).
They really paved the way (along with bands like Killing Heidi, for me at least) - to truly appreciate and thoroughly enjoy all and any female fronted metal. I drive to Melbourne earlier this year to go see Within Temptation, and that was incredible.

I agree with you on their tracks, so many great ones and even the not great ones are still good...she's so talented as a singer, had some life experiences that helped drive her passion and emotion too, always a good combination.
And we have one man to blame. Meatloaf, one of her biggest inspirations. :P

I love it!!! I love Amy Lee! She has a powerful, strong voice with a beautiful vibration. When that album, Fallen, came out, I bought it and loved singing like her. I looked up the songs in English, found the lyrics, and tried to learn them. I sang along with her. I discovered her through my brother, who likes rock music, and from that moment on, I was fascinated. All her songs are beautiful and powerful, but those three are amazing!!!
Plus, she's gorgeous, she feels the songs in her heart... I love her!!!
I'm surprised you like the music, it's not what I thought you'd be into; they're a great band and most of that for me is because they're fronted by Amy Lee.
I like a bit of rock, and she loves it, a lot! Her songs are extremely inspiring and powerful. They have energy. She also has an amazing voice. Fabulous band!

My favorite band ever is Linkin park, I wanted to go at a concert of them but Chester is gone, so it will remain a dream
