Hi friends! How are you doing this beautiful weekend? Here in Cuba we had the great opening for this summertime. This kind of celebration takes place every year, each July. Kids, young and adults are always looking for to having this party all year.

Yesterday my little sis and I woke up early. The great day was finally here. Dressed up fast and had breakfast during the activity. In our walk to the main town's square, we saw many friends of us that were as happy as us. There was a selling point with bananas and yukas. People were standing in a line, waiting their turn tu buy and having long conversations with their friends. Some others were working as usual and their celebration would be in the afternoon, drinking beer.

The main activity took place in the park. It was full of children, mothers, street vendors, clowns, games and music. There were competitions, boxing matches and street theater too. My mom joined us after the first minutes there. We sat down in a bank, under a tree and were talking until the activity begun.

The activity started with the National Anthem, two singers, two poems and three dances. After all that, the best part of the day: A CONCERT!

A group of musicians from Havana came to San Luis to celebrate with us. I was dancing with my sister and the singer looked at me, he saw me and did some improvisations for me. I felt nervous but impressed because of his talent and capacity to think fast. He kept singing for almost an hour. He brought balloons for children, posters and softdrink too. People danced and sang their songs loudly, jumped and enjoyed them without caring about the high temperatures.

This are Cuban people vibes. It was not a typical weekend. It was an unforgettable one.
