Thailand is known for their exotic foods, herbs and spices, unique culture, and...inhalers. Yes, for someone who's into minty inhalers, you'd know that the best ones are found in Thailand. Prior to this event, a friend handed me a catalogue on all products that could be imported from Thailand. Bringing the distributors and Thai product owners was an initiative from the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Bureau of Customs. As I'm seeing the catalogue, products ranged from beauty, herbals, clothing, food and rice. I believe some of these products are from small to medium enterprises who are hoping to bring their products to global markets. Thai is also well known for their beauty products like collagen and whitening soaps. I remember many Filipino vloggers who went to Thailand for vacation and upon going home, they hoarded many beauty products and clothing. This booth has the most number of people on queue. They are selling Thai drinks, which is an advantage for them- it serves as a taste test while earning sales. I wanted to try their product too, but the long queue discouraged me. This huge event lasted the whole weekend. It was a great experience to explore their culture and their products at the comfort of our own country. I haven't been to Thailand but wandering from different booths made me feel like I've already been there. Overall, it was an interesting experience. Not many people know but one of the businesses I've dream of having in the future is importing products from all over the world and bringing them to the Philippines. To me, it feels fulfilling to bring solutions to the Philippines that is already tried and tested globally. Although I also know that this business is quite difficult especially when dealing with the customs. A huge sum of money is really required.
