Hello community #WeekendExperiences
Optimist or pessimist? Which are you and why? Give examples.
Human beings are inherently catastrophic. It's a way of presenting themselves in life as if their thoughts are leading them to this. Is it a lack of education on these issues? Or are we born with this nature, which we shape according to the environment we grow up in or according to the understanding we develop based on our lifestyle or experiences.
I believe it's a step-by-step process of changing our thinking. I was a pessimist a lot. Despite being certain about something, those thoughts of doubt or "I can't do it" still dominated.
This happened a lot during adolescence. It's truly a stage of life with so much to learn. We're so intense that we don't even allow ourselves to be held by the hand. When taking an academic assessment, even if I was sure I had the right answers, I would start to sabotage myself. Perhaps I let myself get caught up in classmates who would start giving me answers and saying "I failed." This would lead to a chain of pessimistic emotions.

In many situations, before looking at the benefits, my automatic answer was NO, for the thousands of reasons I gave at the time. Was I pessimistic or not? It was the word of the moment when we saw everything as catastrophic.
This thinking has evolved. I think pessimistic or optimistic is rarely used. The concepts have shifted toward positive and negative thinking. We used to call them optimistic or pessimistic, although these words are more commonly used nowadays.

As this way of thinking has evolved, I currently feel like I'm on the optimistic or positive-thinking side. I look for the positive in every situation or try not to say anything if the situation doesn't convince me. For example, when people complain about all the changes in different parts of the world, I say, each of us, with our experiences, should see the positive in everything that happens. We should be grateful when difficult situations occur and we're geographically distant. I say we're safe.
Being optimistic or pessimistic is a matter of mindset, of opening our minds to the many scientific arguments shared to educate human beings on such issues. It's each individual's decision to become aware of this way of looking at the world around us, or to express ourselves in real-life situations.
