My whole working life was pretty uncomfortable, from the very first day I started I was out of my depth, if I ever got close to being comfortable something would change and I was back to square one in the deep end trying just to stay afloat. I never really worked out a way to improve the situation, it was more just a case of slowly getting used to being uncomfortable most of the time.
I was always showing up to work at a new places for a new customers. All the different rules and regulations. Process and teams of people. They all can all be very similar but many places just did make much sense until I learned there entire system. I seemed to get all these medium sized companies that like to cut corners. The big jobs had big budgets and were well planned but the smaller factories like the one pictured were always hell bent on getting the cheapest prices. Even if it meant buying stuff from different parts of the world and then slapping them together and hoping it would all work. One of the tricks I learned was if you paint everything the same color, in this case blue it looks like the same coordinated production line. It must keep the share holders happy. My main task at this job was building the cable ladder support systems and connecting the different machine electrically. I always enjoyed the cable tray ladder installation and design it was just like a customized big boys Meccano set. Getting all the machines to work together was a much more challenging situation.

That sounds pretty much exactly the same as my work/business. I guess I just have to get better and better at feeling incredibly uncomfortable. And only hope it gets easier one of these days.
