The odd post from the phone.
It is rare I wrote much on my phone, but today I have a reason. We are at the beach. And as far as Finland goes...
It is a proper beach.
With soft sand and everything. Though, the Nordic water is very, very chilly. I am not sure if I will even get more than my feet wet. I a surprised their aren't icebergs floating by with polar bears on them.
25°C is beach weather here though.

Thousands of people have descended into this beach today, abd since we live inland, it took us about two hours (including stops) to get here. I think the last time we managed to make it, was about three or four years ago. The weather has to align with our schedule, but this time, we decided last night to make the trip, so it was easier. Nothing else planned.
Our friends are somewhere around here too, so Smallsteps and my wife went for a walk to look for them.the beach is a few kilometers long, so I have some time to write.
It is better than sunbaking.
I like the sun and warm weather, but if I am going to get a tan, I will get it doing something, not laying doing nothing. Already having a natural mocha colour likely influences my opinion of the sun. That and being Australian, where it is often taken for granted that it will be sunny pretty soon, no matter the season.
Writing from the phone sucks.
I know many people do it, but it makes it hard for me to position photos. And as far as the writing goes, it is much harder to get into the flow, and to edit. I much prefer bigger screens and a keyboard.
So that is where I will leave it for this one, because my nerves can't take it anymore in this heat.
Summer!

We were trying to figure out earlier today if the Scandinavian countries were experiencing the same heat as other parts. Well seems like you’ve got it too!
I love the sunny bright days but not the heat as much. Heading to our coast soon or to the banks if the river Thames.
We have missed most of it. There are a few warmer days now, but still only mid 20s. other years we have had a couple 30+ days, but it looks like not this one. How are you coping down south?
We’re struggling with the heat to be honest but looks like this week may be a bit more comfortable. Our house is a modern build, only three years since it was built. So great in the winter with the excellent insulation but a nightmare in the summer, we often sleep downstairs. Have been considering having air conditioning installed!
I also prefer the big screen. I feel limited when i use my phone, at least for posting. I still can do comments and vote with phone. Also my Actifit is always by phone, i didn’t find a way to do by computer.
Voting with the phone is good for sure - I can't sit at my desk all day!
Ah happy beachy days 🥰
Was good fun!
It's interesting to me to people at the beach like this. It's been a while since I swim. But the truth is I like water bodies and when I find myself into one, I don't feel like coming out. So the sight of it today is so inviting...
Why not go swimming more?
I only use my phone to comment, I don't think I could write a proper post from here. Looks like the beach was a blast!
The beach was great! Met with the friends and hung out chatting and chilling.
Even commenting sucks from the phone for me :)
I can only imagine!
Sounds like the perfect summer escape, even if the water’s freezing and typing on the phone is a struggle!
It was terribly cold - but I forced myself in a few times. Forced my wife too :D
Enjoy the perfect weekend...phone is good for commenting but writing a post is seriously a headache. Glad you make it a nice one ...to keep up the #hive rhythm
Even with comments I struggle on the phone. Short comments are okay, but nothing with substance.
Oh, there are so many people on the beach. Your wife is a beauty, your daughter is an athlete :) A pleasant day with smiles on the faces of the whole family.
There must have been thousands - which is unusual for Finland - unless at a festival.
🤣🤣🤣 This cracked a laughter! Also, indeed positioning images with the phone is quite a troublesome task. Enjoy the sunny beach!
Especially putting them side by side!
Yes, as the phone does not give the similar outlook as the PC.
considering that you managed to write a post anyway that way seems to suggest that it was still to easy for you. Maybe next time you should rise difficulty level- by writing with just one hand.😛 When I see people typing with one hand it always feels like magic trick to me...
I can do it with one hand! (just very slowly)
Your beach day sounds absolutely blissful to me. I could feel the subtle joy reading your words; it is like a gentle escape into nature’s embrace with the loved ones. Thanks for sharing that moment with us.
It was a nice day and we were there on the beach until early evening. The sun doesn't set until almost 11PM here at the moment :)
Wonderful indeed. Such a happy memory you've created for the kids as well.
Dear @tarazkp ! I remember that last year that Finnish beaches were ugly!😃 I agree with you! Did you go back to the beach that went last year?
When I saw SmallSteps skillful of Handstand, I guessed that she had a ballet lesson and had excellent athletic nerves!😄
There are 200,000 lakes in Finland surrounded by forest. That is what most beaches are like here. This isn't Hawaii.
25°C seems to be quite nice in comparison to the rest of Europe :-D
I remember being on a rowing trip on the Lofotes, something like 2000-2005. It was a very hot summer, around 30°C, so we decided to jump in the water. Bad call. The polar see does not warm as much as the air.
Looks like Smallsteps had a lot of fun. I hope you did, too, despite the sun :D
It really was very cold in the water - 14C by the shore, about 12C a bit further out - that is chilly.
It was a lot of fun. Even with the sun. Met up with the friends and chilled with them too :)
That is indeed chilly. Glad you found the friends and had a good time! "Just and necessary", as a friend always says.
It's so hot in UK today that I just don't want to go anywhere, particularly driving for two hours even with the air con on full blast in the car And the thought of sitting under the sun is enough to make me want to stay in, open up the back doors and plonk myself in front of the fan with a cold drink.
Bliss 🪭🍹
You brits... complain about the rain... then complain about the sun. No wonder you are known as whinging Poms in Australia ;D
Sounds like we have quite a reputation 😆😆😆
Yaa, that's correct, I too find it difficult to write it from the mobile sometimes. Cool pictures, the beach atmosphere seems to be really mesmerizing! It's a great sunny day!
My fingers don't work as well as they used to - but I have always hated writing on the phone.
I agree, writing from the phone really sucks. The only time I do it is when I write Actifit posts as those require you to write from the phone unless you want to do an almost empty post then edit it on a computer.
Sounds like you don't make it to the beach very often :) We like to go to the beach at least 5-10 times locally and when we are in Hawaii multiple times per day every day.
Phones suck! :D
Yeah, we don't go very often to the coast, but with 200,000 lakes, we go to lake beaches whenever the weather is okay. We will go tomorrow to a local lake beach too :)
Hawaii looks great. I hope I can get there one day.
I know your financial circumstances are not the best for it right now, but Maui is the cheapest it has been in decades right now, so it is kind of a good time to visit...
Get a bluetooth keyboard, problem solved ;)
He could always get a blue tooth keyboard, battery powered, for his phone :P
Or take a type writer to the beach!
Lol a typewriter? That would be quite a sight 😏
Well, I did make the hand written community, if you'd prefer?

:P I see.. a 'proper' beach with sand and all.. but NO polar bears. (that's good) :)
I like to go where the beach and a river meet, I love to camp and watch the sun set on the horizon and wake up to the salty wind. I can't use my mobile phone to write, it's always a voice message, because of my visual impairment. To post on HIVE, always the laptop or at home, on the PC.
Looking at the pictures, I hear the bustle, the crashing of the waves and see the little Smallsteps enjoying themselves in a big way. It's been a good summer.
This is probably why you tend to answer with more words than most. A lot of people who write only from their phone, tend not to go very deep. Too much effort.
Does the family enjoy camping too, or do you go by yourself?
What kind of fresh hell is that beach!? Way too many people to actually enjoy the day 😂
Yyteri!
It was really nice. Lots of people having fun and enjoying the weather. It is so big, there is still plenty of room.
I thought the same thing. Even beaches in Australia don't look that busy, except on the first hot day of the year, and maybe Australia Day.
Hello! I'm pleasantly surprised by that beach in Finland. I never imagined their beaches would be so good! How great that you could enjoy with friends and have quality time together!
You should come to Cuba to get a real tan!
I am half Indian ;)
There are only a couple beaches similar to a real beach here - but there are millions of lake beaches!
Anyway, the invitation is extended to come to Cuba! There are beaches here that will give you and your family a golden glow, hahaha.
!HUG
As long as it's not windy 25C is not too bad to be at the beach. Much less sure about being in the water though, I think I would coward out XD
Nice handstand smallsteps! (or is it a cartwheel? XD) Beautiful straight legs! Hold your head!
my kids know "hold your head" means keep head between upper arms, helps get body into a straight line so they can balance in the handstand, though it feels freaky like you're going to fall over so they never want to do it
Were they able to find the friends?
It looks like you are having a great time, I really like the beach, but the sun is very strong and I prefer to go after 6:00 pm. When I was young I could stand the whole day..A hug
25 degree heat! I'm with you mate... I can't stznd just laying around waiting to get burned by the sun. I would much rather be playing games, or at the very least, jumping waves!
