In my personal experience, I've been a person who, at times in my life, has been overcome by pessimism and has been a negative person. Doubts about my abilities, my health, or my personal energy have overcome me. However, I've found inner strength or had the help of my loved ones, and I've been able to turn pessimism into optimism.
If you ask me how I define myself, I would say that I'm an optimist.
And why am I an optimist?
ยท I focus on the positive and look for opportunities for growth, even in the challenges life throws at me.
ยท I have hope that I can overcome the obstacles life throws at me and that I will improve with my effort and dedication.
I have self-love and positive self-esteem that allows me to live with my mistakes and overcome them.
I can recognize the negative and positive aspects of a situation and don't let the negative aspects overcome me.
I maintain healthy social relationships and seek and provide support from others.
I have a positive attitude toward life and look for solutions instead of waiting for them to fall from the sky.
I surround myself with positive people and avoid negativity in my circle.
I practice gratitude for the good people and things that life gives me.
I take care of my physical and mental health.
Some examples that demonstrate my optimism:
In 2021, I was diagnosed with prostatic hyperplasia. Although my mood was initially depressed, I looked for ways I could live with the disease, improve, and live a more fulfilling life. And the illness is still there, but despair and grief haven't overcome me, and I live a normal and full life.
In 2010, I began a specialization course in Postgraduate Teaching in Psychopedagogy. There were several very challenging modules, and two professors were determined to prevent me from graduating. However, my desire to advance prevailed, and two years later, I became a specialist.
In 1997, I began a relationship with my current wife, and her maternal family didn't like me because of my skin color. My approach to the situation, my loving actions toward my wife and children, and my time with them changed my mother-in-law's perception of me, and our relationship will celebrate its 28th anniversary on October 29th.
I once read that life is too short to live half-heartedly or that we should live it as intensely as possible, and I believe this way of seeing life is for optimists.

This is a great post, thanks for taking the time to enter it into the weekend-engagement topics concept and for your continued support of the weekend-engagement topics.
I thank you very much for those words. I follow the weekend topics because of how much they add to me and how much they help me express and share life stories. But, also, because you as a community leader plays an essential role in educating everything and everyone, as I have seen how you read all the posts and respond to them, you make sure that the rules are followed and that is called respect. Thanks to you for your advice and teachings. Happy weekend. Cheers and greetings.
I feel that if I've taken the time to make rules in my communities and in my concepts then people engaging in them should take the time to follow those rules. Muting and downvotes is the reward people get for not doing so.
Hi @galenkp.
Which rule did I break?
Tell me so I don't do it again
I apologize in advance
It would be nice to see a power up now and then rather than extracting your rewards to estelacha all the time. I'm sure a few Hive powered up now and then wouldn't hurt you too much. I sent this post to curangel and upvoted and whilst I can reverse both I will not on this occasion.
I love how you have described in different points that you are optimistic. I share your opinion and I love that you are always improving, especially everything you mention about studying.
You know what? I taught computer classes for more than 12 years to older adults, all of whom were over 60, most of them retired, and I loved the feeling of achievement even though it was difficult for them, but they did it. That's why I see every little effort people make as a grain of sand in the world.
Everything you've mentioned is positive, and of course we all have our moments, for example if there is a health problem, but attitude is what matters and you have demonstrated that optimism in your life. Congratulations! A big hug!๐ค

I am very grateful for each of your words and they mean a lot to me. Teaching is what has given me the most satisfaction in life and where I have learned the most because many times I have learned more than I have taught. In my workplace I taught the basics of telephone handling to an 80 year old man and he told me he could not. Today he is 84 years old and has learned to communicate through social networks. It is very nice what you did with these people.
Thank you for your vote and I ask you:
How do I do to support the project as a witness? Happy weekend.
Cheers and greetings.
Once again, I agree with you. I have learned more from these wonderful people than they have learned from me. Teaching is the best way to learn. It was a pleasure to meet you!

Thank you very much for everything. It was also a pleasure to meet you. Happy weekend. Cheers and greetings
I'm here for whatever you need, thanks to you!
Choosing to be optimistic is really the best choice for me, because it will attract good things.
