The moment we arrived, I could sense their excitement. They immediately ran towards the playground. Swings, slides, climbing ropes—they all tried it. I could really tell they had unlimited energy (I wish I could borrow efen 10% of it).
They played without a break. Honestly, they were so chaotic but in a very loveable way. They ran, climbed the ropes and slides and they communicated with other kids. They temporarily had new friends which made their day more memorable and fun. I love seeing them enjoying their lives as kids.
What I loved the most was seeing them so free—no screens, no stress, just big laughs and messy hair without being rebuked by their parents. Their laughs, yells, little sweats, and messy hair reminded me how important little moments are. They won’t remember exact date or how many times they went down the slide, but they will surely remember that we had fun together.
We ended our day with a cotton candy from the plaza vendor because no park trip is complete without turning our tongues pink.
Honestly, it wasn't fancy. Just a regular day at a regular park — but sometimes that’s all you need to feel grounded again. Having this kind of moment with my nephews reminds me how peaceful it is to be a little kid again.
