Without a doubt, I consider myself a very optimistic person. Even in the most difficult situation, I always try to see the positive side, because I'm one of those who thinks: well, it could have been worse.
I really liked an anecdote I once heard about a glass that was half full of liquid, and people were asked, "How do you see the glass? Do you see it half empty or half full?" I think it's the perfect description!
Negative people will always see it as half empty, because of what's missing; but they don't see the amount. I prefer to see the glass half full, seeing that yes, it's still a bit far from full, but I'm already half full, meaning I'm missing less.
I describe myself as a 100% optimistic person; For example, a few days ago my sons were riding their motorcycle 🏍️, they were transporting a rather long ladder and didn't notice the car in front of them. With the ladder, they broke the headlight glass, the car's bulb. We had to pay for it, of course, because it was their responsibility. When the boys got home and told us, their dad got a little upset. I told him: "Okay, it was the glass, not the glass, which is more expensive. It wasn't someone else, they didn't kill anyone, it's just glass. You can pay for it, and nothing happened!" Thank God, nothing worse; that's as far as the situation went.
It's always like that in every situation; I remember that during the terrible economic crisis we were going through in Venezuela, where many families would go a whole day without eating at home, thank God there was always food. But yes, I must admit that there were times when there was just the arepa and butter, and I would tell my children, "At least we have the arepa and butter." There are families who have nothing, so we should be grateful for what we have. I've always liked to see the positive side of things, and I always try to see the positive side of even the most negative aspects. So, I describe myself as a 100% optimistic person. If something can't be achieved right away, I'm one of those people who think: "Well, today wasn't possible, tomorrow is another day, a new opportunity!"
I hope you enjoyed reading it. See you next time!
