Hey folks!

Over the weekend I started working on Aura evaluation and the deed DEC insight feature… and of course, while knee-deep in the code, I stumbled across something that really bugged me 😅

I didn’t plan on releasing another update so soon, but with real-life work slowing down a bit (hello summer holidays ☀️), I couldn’t stop thinking about it — so here we are.

🐛 The Bug: Missing Site Efficiency in Resource Consumption

While checking some plots that were producing negative DEC, I took a closer look at @woody-575’s plot to figure out why it was running at a deficit. At first glance, PP (production points) looked fine — a low output — but the consumed resource values were also high, which shouldn’t happen if everything were functioning correctly.

Then it hit me: the system didn’t take site efficiency into account when less than the required staked DEC is added to the region. 😬

So even with solid PP, if you're under-staked (DEC), your site is running inefficiently — and that affects both output and consumption. And yep, that wasn’t reflected in my calculations.

Left: Before Fix, Right: After Fix

📌 Fix: I’ve now added site efficiency into the equation, and updated also the daily resource supply overview to reflect this.

This has also impact on the daily resource supply consumation

⚠️ Reminder: Use This Tool as a Guide

Before diving into the new features — big disclaimer:

DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. This tool interprets Splinterlands data, and while I do my best to calculate things accurately, there may be assumptions or approximations. Treat the numbers as a helpful guide, not absolute truth. If you see something off, feel free to let me know — or better yet, build your own tool! 😄

🚀 New Features in This Update

Check it all out live at: 👉 https://land.spl-stats.com/

Fixes & Updates:

  • Fix supply bug — consume cost now respects site efficiency
  • Aura estimated values added for Fortune Tickets, Auction Marks, and Wagon Repair Kits
  • Net DEC per deed overview added (find it in the player deed overview)
  • Next craft resource cost now shown in the player overview

🔮 1 Aura Value Estimation (Fortune Tickets, Auction Marks, Wagon Kits)

On the Resource Conversion screen, you’ll now see estimated Aura values for:

  • Fortune Tickets
  • Auction Marks
  • Wagon Repair Kits

These help you figure out what 1 Aura is worth, not just in terms of Midnight Potion (MP), but other outputs as well.

📝 Note: Current aura value calculations still default to MP — this feature is just an estimate for now.

🧰 Crafting Tooltip Enhancements

In the Player Overview, I added:

  • 🎯 Next item preview — see what's coming up for crafting

  • 🧾 Tooltip for resource requirements — a quick reminder of what you’ll need

💸 Net DEC per Deed — Is Your Plot Producing in DEC?

This one’s kind of personal. I wanted to know: is my aura plot actually profitable, especially with boosts?

So I added a Net DEC per deed calculation. This estimates:

  • DEC if you sell consumed resources directly
  • vs. DEC from crafting and selling output

Including a sort option:

🧮 Behind the scenes it’s a bit messy (still testing accuracy), but the idea is simple:

  • Hover over the DEC icon
  • Get a breakdown of the math
  • Decide for yourself if the plot is actually worth running

Here’s an example of one of my aura plots that's running negative . Based on MP prices at that time, I’d be better off just buying potions rather than crafting them 🤷‍♂️

But! Prices change all the time. So maybe Midnight Potions are more profitable today. The tool lets you decide.

⚠️ Final Note

Still just a fun hobby project — built during late-night, caffeine-fueled coding sessions. If something breaks… ping me. I’ll fix it. Eventually. 😂

That’s it for this round — needed to get this update out before my vacation so I can rest easy 😅 Happy landowning, happy crafting, and as always… see you on the battlefield.

That's awesome! I'm glad you worked on the Aura-Valuation, that is just such a tricky thing to establish. That thing is becoming better and better :-)
