I've been losing a lot recently, and it really got me thinking—what was I doing right back when I was winning? This contest gave me the perfect excuse to dive back into some of my favorite battles and reflect on the combos that actually worked for me. Whether it was experimenting with underrated cards or pulling off surprising synergy plays, these matches reminded me that even in a game of constant meta shifts, good strategy always holds up. So here are a few of my go-to combos that helped me turn the tide and maybe they’ll do the same for you.

Cryptic x Djinn Oshannus

Expose is a useful counter ability that removes those abilities and Cryptic can completelyremove that. This ability is very useful in winning mirror matches but only if you get that abilityon the right units. On the other hand, if you like Speed-based comps, Enfeeble is your friend. Every attack reduces the enemy's speed which is very useful in that team.
Bera Dallin x Caravan Guard

Bera Dallin is the strongest Taunt tank right now if you can get at least a level 2. The only issue is that it is expensive and there's a huge demand for it so there are not a lot of level 2s on the market right now if you're planning to rent.
Wave Brood x Endura Brune

Endura Brune flew below everyone's radar which gave me the benefit of winning these games. Endura Brune can also be combined with other units as long as they have Shield or Void making her a flexible unit to be paired with. Just remember that Endura Brune is a range unit and cannot attack in first position so keep this unit's positioning in mind when drafting her in combat.
Abyssal Elemental x Shadowfey Sheik

Lastly, we have the usual mid-mana combo of Abyssal Elemental and Shadowfey Sheik. Shadowfey Sheik's Painforge is really useful as it gains attack when someone from your team hits him. Abyssal Elemental's Resurgence is one of them and Shock Trooper's Electrified is another. I like Abyssal Elemental more with Shadowfey Sheik because Electrified is really bad on long games.
There's actually more units with Painforge in the game and if that would skyrocket your win rate if you can combo them with these units. Unfortunately, they are so expensive to rent so I doubt it would be efficient if you will be renting to play and better stick with just these.
Death also have an archon that can give Painforge to their units and if you're a fan of Painforge, you may want to visit that combo in the near future. The only problem with those units are they usually have low health due to the low mana so hitting your own units might backfire if you plan to do it a lot.
