There’s a lot of buzz around Tasoshi Drakamoto lately and honestly it makes sense. Not only both the name and card art are cool but the stats and abilities are also very interesting. She brings magic attack to the backline which is something no one expect due to its uncommon nature. If you're enemies are running support-heavy teams or leaving healers exposed from the back this unit will break their setup before they can respond.
I also like how she fits into team comps that aren’t fully magic-focused. Her flexible kit means you can use her with multiple builds which is why I think she’ll quietly become one of the more annoying Epic promos to deal with in Splinterlands.

Why Tasoshi Drakamoto Might Be Good
Tasoshi Drakamoto is a high-value magic attack unit that works as both a backline assassin and a support increasing your team's melee attacks. She is good in all teams especially magic teams that still use frontline melee attackers and her abilities allows her to contribute damage pressure, disruption through Stun and bonus damage via Inspire all in one. She pairs well with teams that rely on fast attacks and coordinated strikes especially those with similar concept like her.
How will you use Tasoshi Drakamoto in your battles?
Tasoshi Drakamoto has multiple abilities that works with different teams and builds instead of just one vision. Let's check each one.
Sneak: With 3 magic damage and 4 speed, Tasoshi’s Sneak lets her pressure backline enemies quickly especially if they’re units without Void or Magic Reflect. She can remove healers or squishy casters fast before they become a problem. So, with this, you can use a Sneak-focused team which is one of the best and hardest builds to deal with in Splinterlands since most of the Sneak units have high speed allowing them to attack first.
Inspire: Inspire boosts all allied melee units by +1 melee damage making Tasoshi a great fit in hybrid builds that combine magic and melee. This makes her perfect for supporting Double Strike or Sneak melee units which most Sneak units have.
Stun: Stun adds disruption to her attacks giving a 50% chance for her target to skip its next turn. With Sneak this stun will often hit critical support units which can turn the tide by locking out a healer or damage dealer. This would be good in combination with units that have Knockout abilities for the double damage.
Spite: When she gets taken down she deals a guaranteed counterattack which is strong against high-damage backline assassins. This makes her an aggressive option that still punishes your opponent even when eliminated. You can also make a mock-up Heloise the Hollow with Tasoshi Drakamoto and Risqruel Drath Archon. You give this unit the Taunt and Redemption forcing units to attack her and when she dies, you get to activate the Spite and Redemption immediately.
Which lineups and rulesets make the most of her abilities?
Equalizer: Her 6 base health becomes even better when boosted by other units in Equalizer making her harder to remove. This also eliminates the threat of enemy units targeting her with attacks via Opportunity.
Explosive Weaponry: With her decent speed and magic attack Sneak + Blast can destroy backline units quickly. The high speed allows her to attack first which, when combined with other Sneak units, can quickly eliminate a lot of teams before they move. The higher damage from Inspire can also help increase the damage from Blast given by Explosive Weaponry rule set.
Heavy Hitters: Her built-in Stun activates Knock Out from other units giving your team major burst potential. This rule set is usually useless because Stun isn't normally part of builds but in this case, it's one of your strongest asset.
Best Lineup for Tasoshi Drakamoto
The best lineup I can think of for Tasoshi Drakamoto is by using Kayor Skarn as your Archon and use Dragon/Water as your elements. While Kayor Skarn isn't the best Archon, the reason of using this one is so you can call Tasoshi Drakamoto and combine him with Water builds.
Kayor Skarn has Bloodline Dominion ability which allows him to use units outside the element of your choice as long as it has Drakoshan Bloodlines which Tasoshi Drakamoto has. You then choose Water Element because you want to combo Tasoshi Drakamoto with Captain Fellblade.
These two are the strongest Sneak units in the game because they both have magic sneak attacks and normally, you don't add tanks in your backline and just use units with Protect ability to protect your backline. The issue is that these two units have magic Sneak attacks so they would just ignore the armor from Protect and hits health directly. You can easily win the game by abusing this strategy as long as you can protect them.
Another lineup I can think of is the Tasoshi Drakamoto and Risqruel Drath combo that I said above but add multiple units with Resurrect abilities. This way, if Tasoshi Drakamoto with Taunt and Redemption dies, they can be revived again and if they died again, Spite and Redemption will activate once again creating like a loop to just deal repeating damage to your enemy units.
Early impressions or predictions for her place in the meta
Spite adds unexpected results during cleanup phases and can give you wins or draws in games where you were supposed to lose and her Stun gives her a shot at turning 1v1s or just simply delaying their supports. She won’t be a fit in every match but when she works it’s going to feel brutal for whoever's on the other side.
Lastly, I don't think Tasoshi Drakamoto fits the Hypercarry units like Djinn Oshannus or Rage where they can win on their own but as a combo piece unit like with Captain Fellblade. If you can fit Tasoshi Drakamoto in your builds, she would provide a really good advantage to your team.
