  • HTML5 Overview

: There is an HTML5 logo in the image above. On January 18, 2011, W3C, which develops and manages web standards, announced a new logo. This is a strategy to widely promote HTML5 for the future web standard. Additionally, for this purpose, T-shirts were also produced with the logo. The logo can be displayed freely, and the color and size are also flexible. HTML was first developed by Tim Berners-Lee and began to become popular through the Mosaic browser developed by NCSA. After that, HTML2.0 came out in November 1995 and was developed by the IETF. 1 and 2 were developed focusing on the functions of H(yper)T(ext). Later, with the advent of Netscape and Explorer, web browsers developed rapidly. Accordingly, HTML also accelerates its development growth. HTML2 was set as the standard, and each web browser inserted its own tags due to competition. However, later on, the phenomenon of being absorbed into HTML also occurred. Then, version 3.2 was released in 1997, and version 4 was released in April 1998.
