Today, Id like to share about a MOBA game called Knights of Cathena. Ill explain everything I know about it as clearly as possible.
To help you understand the name: "Knight" refers to heroes or warriors, while "Cathena" is likely derived from "Catena Legionis," a prayer from the Legion of Mary. So, I assume Knights of Cathena means a legion of brave warriors.
Battlefield
This game falls into the Battle genre. The battlefield looks similar to a chessboard. Both you and your opponent will command 8 heroes each, and youll fight on that grid-based field.
There are 4 main types of heroes, which can be easily categorized as:
Tank Archer Healer Magic (or Mage)
Tank
Tanks have high HP (health points) and are usually placed in front. Their attack range is short, so they can only hit nearby enemies. They cant strike from a distance like archers can.
Archer
Archers can attack from a longer range than Tanks or Mages. Their strength lies in hitting enemies from afar. However, they cannot attack enemies right next to them.
Magic (Mage)
MOBA gamers like us usually call them Mages. They have a 3-tile attack range, meaning they can deal damage to all enemies within those 3 tiles. However, their HP is low, and they cant move long distances like Tanks or Archers.
Battle Items
Items are categorized into:
- Weapons
- Helmets
- Armor
- Pants
- Boots
You can earn these items as battle rewards by completing missions during combat. You can also use in-game currency (CGO) earned after battles to buy items in the game market.
